Overview

Two boys vacationing in the forests of the Transylvanian alps discover a ruined laboratory, a recently deceased dinosaur, and a mysterious humming tunnel. Donny and Bobby, guided by a grown-up named Hansel, travel back in time to meet sages, villains, and common citizens, then forward to an age of spiritual enlightenment only a sage like Kriyananda could imagine and describe. Whether fact or fiction (the author remains vague on the point), this book contains more truth than many a ponderous volume of philosophy gathering dust on a library shelf

Editorial Reviews

New Spirit Journal, October 2012 - Krysta Gibson
Sometimes it is fun to learn complex ideas and principles through stories. That’s exactly what world-renowned spiritual teacher Donald Walters, now known as Kriyananda, does in this book. Using the technique of storytelling, Kriyananda shares timeless ideas and techniques he learned from his guru, Paramhansa Yogananda. Once can wonder how much of the story is a mixture of fiction with the non-fiction.

While exploring in Rumania, two boys named Donny and Bobby discover a ruined laboratory with a mysterious tunnel. Entering into it, their bodies shrink and they emerge into a beautiful countryside and meet Hansel, whose father invented the “time tunnel.” They learn how to encase themselves in time-light spheres and they visit the Middle Ages, ancient Greece, and Egypt, while also forwarding into the future.

The story is a good one and filled with knowledge about history and human behavior. This would be a great way to introduce children of all ages to some great spiritual truths while also entertaining them. It’s a fun read while offering deep insights.

This delightful book weaves adventure and spiritual truths together in such a way that young people (of any age) can appreciate both. More, more, please! We need more books that bring spiritual teachings to life! Fiction can convey Truth in a simple heartfelt way.
