Children love to cook so why not give them a sense of purpose and challenge with a cookbook of their own? This is a beautifully pictured book for toddlers and children of elementary school ages who have an interest in not only cooking with parents, but creating their own foods. My little grandsons in particular love to cook with their parents, and I think this is an excellent book for them. Both are under 5 years of age and have been helping in the kitchen since they were sprouts. A perfect gift for the child who has a library of different books, as well! These recipes do need parental over-looking...
This book is written so that even non-readers can "read" the recipes. There is a picture at the beginning of each recipe showing a child with all the ingredients for the recipe. There are also numerous pictures throughout each recipe showing the child demonstrating how to make it. My 5 year old daughter has hardly put the book down.
