    Peretti is a genius storyteller.

    Review by Jill Williamson

Jay and Lila and their archaeologist father, Dr. Cooper, enter the tombs of Anak in search of a missing coworker. Instead, they stumble onto a village where the people follow a bizarre religion. These Anakim people believe that Anak Ha-Raphah is their god and will destroy them if he becomes angry. And Dr. Cooper's meddling in the tombs has angered the god. But Dr. Cooper is not afraid. He must discover what became of his coworker and no false religion will stop him.

Peretti is a genius storyteller. Even adults would enjoy these Cooper Kids Adventure classics that follow Dr. Cooper and his children as they explore this planet for history that proves the Bible is fact. As always, Peretti writes fast-paced, scary stories of good vs. evil. I enjoyed watching this mystery unfold. If you've never read a Cooper Kids book, I highly recommend them for readers ages 10 to adult.

    Awesome Awesome Awesome!

I loved this book, it was so full of detail that I could see it playing itself out in my mind like a movie. The plot is great, it's actually believable, a lot of books don't have that. It kept me excited from the moment I started reading to the very end. I've always liked to read about ancient traditions and superstitions, so this book totally got my attention. -Alex

    Tombs, Adventure, and...Children?

In Frank Peretti¿s, The Tombs of Anak, you follow Dr. Jacob Cooper and his kids, Jay and Lila, on an adventure unlike any other they have ever been on before. The Tombs of Anak is only the third book out of Peretti¿s eight book kids adventure series, and once you read one you book, you¿ll want to read all of these great and exciting books! Throughout this series of kid¿s fiction books, the Cooper¿s seem to always wind up in a troubled situation. But in The Tombs of Anak, they are tested not only in their physical strength, but also in their spiritual strength. They believe that Jesus Christ is the only one true God. But when they meet Anak, they are hopelessly chased through a mind-boggling maze of adventure and suspense. Though this book talks about a religion having an all-powerful god named Ha-Raphah; Peretti, through his characters, explains that Jesus Christ is the one and only true God. He shows you through these adventures that God is always there for you and He never gets tired of helping you. I believe that is why I agree with his books so much. Because it shows me that God is always there when I need him, guiding me down my path, and helping me stay focused on what¿s important in my life. If you would like to have an adventure, without leaving the comfort of your home, try reading this book! It is excellent for teens and adults, but if a younger child would like to read it, they may need an adult to read it to them or to explain it to them so they can understand what the book is about. This book is an awesome book and I would tell all my friends, ¿if you want a thrill, read this book!¿
