Personal transformation requires radical change. It has been said that the only thing you can count on in this world is that nothing stays the same. You can change your address, your job, your wardrobe, your friends-you can even change your name-but your life will not transform until you change the way you think. Becoming a Christian ignites the process of transformation. Your relationship with God, eternal destination, and true self become new. Yet even with all these wonderful changes, we are left in a world, remain in a body, and are stuck with a mind that is pretty much the same.

In this book, John Carter will teach you that God has designed a plan of genuine transformation for every person, one that goes far beyond the initial moment of salvation. Whether you realize it or not, you have the capacity and power to influence the direction of your life through a dynamic relationship with Jesus.

You can change. Here's how.

Having just read The Transformed Life cover to cover, I can say this is an absolute spiritual Tour de Force! It presents a wholesome, balanced, systematic theology that is broad in scope but practical and specific in application. This is not high-minded talk of men who dwell in ivory towers, but true compassionate and pragmatic counsel from a shepherd who has been in the trenches helping thousands of sheep over 25+ years. The ABC's of Christian life and ministry are here, along with a compelling, undeniable defense of the local church as God's perfect plan to advance the Kingdom of God. Bravo, Pastor Carter! Any church will benefit using this God-given tool to fulfill the great commission of Christ: Matthew 28:19-20 "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations... teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you, and lo I am with you always." Rev. Mike

An accessable foray into a systematic theology for every believer or questioning seeker of biblical truth.

Pastor John Carter has very succinctly and profoundly encapsulated a thorough exploration of all the orthodox tenants of Christian biblical theology in a very easy to read and comprehend language and conversational style. The reader has options in how they approach and process the material: simply read, chapter by chapter, used as a daily devotional, book club selection or group handbook/study guide. This material would easily lend itself to use as foundational doctrinal study for a new believers class. Many people will be helped to understand just what it means to be a Christian or even what Christians believe if they are exploring. I HIGHLY recommend this book.

Many books have been written on the topic of change and transformation but few offer such a balance of foundational truth and the tools necessary to actually effect change in your life in a sustainable manner. This book is a manual for anyone seeking sustainable change. You need not be a season scholar of scripture to understand the basic principles and core values the author teaches in the book. It has an unusual format with options for reading that place the decision as to how radical the journey towards change is, in the hands of the reader! For those most daring or simply desperate for change, I recommend the 40-day devotional format.Reading this book has forever changed my life. My purpose as a child of God, made in His image, is more real to me today than ever before. My journey of faith has a foundation that is unshakably founded on the scriptural principles, which this book has broken down and laid out for me in simple clear terms. I highly recommend this book to everyone!

My shelves are filled with books-- both "Christian" and "secular"-- that are motivational, inspiring and intriguing. I have read most of them, but I have found that good principles do not always translate into lasting impressions, let alone a truly transformed life. What I love about this book is that it is engaging, easy to read, and hits the target of so many of the questions that have been circling in my heart about God, the Bible and ME! I finally understand what it means to be God's child. I finally get how to access the power of God in overcoming temptations and bad habits. I finally understand the significance and life changing power of being a committed member of a local church. I love that it is broken down into a 40 day devotional and that I can truly absorb what I've read. Believers everywhere should get this book in their hands and read it cover to cover....church leaders should get the content this book and pour it into the hearts of their congregations....IT'S POWERFUL!

This book has been an incredible read! You know those moments when you hear people talking about theology and all it sounds life is a bunch of complicated hullabaloo that seems beyond your grasp of understanding? Well this book takes the theological jargon and breaks it down into simple understandable terms.
