Beautiful illustrations with accurate color registrations, but most art books have these. The two things that set this book apart were first the views of Monet's famous scenes reproduced large and side by side in fold outs. Scenes like the Cathedrals, Haystacks, and Waterlilies are gorgeous in this format. Second the reproduced documents from his life and his work found in pockets in various places through the book makes one feel like a real art historian. Finally through B & N this book is value priced.
This is a lovely book. The pictures are outstanding as well as the information. It will remain in my permanent library.
