The Treasury of English Short Stories based on 0 ratings. 1 reviews.
Copyrighted by the editor, Nancy Sullivan,in 1985; published by B&N in 1993. Reaches back to Chaucer (~1400)to Neil Jordan (~1960). Demonstrates evolution of English/English, development of the short story form. Fascinating for the layman and should be on the list of references for college/university level studies of the language. By inference, book shows influence on American/English, writing styles, spelling, practical grammar, as well as the art of writing. Absolutely superb and for the life of me, I can't understand why it isn't in print and being hawked with vigor!
