School Library JournalGr 10 Up-This collection of 13 articles discusses the treaty and its ramifications from diverse points of view. Some writings are by historians; others are by individuals directly involved in the treaty process (David Lloyd George, Philipp Scheidemann) or its results (Winston Churchill, Adolf Hitler). The book provides an overabundance of information and quickly becomes repetitive. There is one illustration, and the maps of pre- and post-World War I Europe are totally inadequate due to their lack of detail. Many unfamiliar terms/persons (valuta, putsch, Junker, Bonar Law) are undefined, and there are several typos. The "Glossary of Important Participants" is restricted to one sentence each. This volume's use will be very limited.-Ann W. Moore, Schenectady County Public Library, NY Copyright 2002 Cahners Business Information.
