Overview
This Halcyon Classics ebook is a modern English translation of De vita Caesarum, commonly known as THE TWELVE CAESARS by Gaius Suetonius Tranquillus. THE TWELVE CAESARS is a set of twelve biographies of Julius Caesar and the first eleven emperors of the Roman Empire. While the life of Julius Caesar is only partially complete, the lives of the remaining emperors, Augustus, Tiberius, Caligula, Claudius, Nero, Galba, Otho, Vitellius, Vespasian, Titus, and Domition are complete and provide an important source of information on the early emperors, the empire, and the daily lives of the Roman aristocracy.
