Overview

Less than five miles from Ground Zero in Manhattan sits an international hotbed of anti-Americanism.

The United Nations was created after World War II to promote peace and international understanding. But over the years, and today more than ever, the U.N. has failed to achieve its original mission. It has failed to address the most dangerous threats facing the civilized world, refused to condemn terrorist acts, encouraged America's enemies, and supported some of the world's most oppressive governments, all while wasting billions of dollars.

As veteran reporter Eric Shawn of Fox News Channel points out, the U.N.'s iconic skyscraper is where our so-called allies all too often undermine the United States and our vital interests. And for the honor of hosting our adversaries in our own country, Americans pay a whopping 22 percent of the U.N.'s bloated budget.

The U.N. Exposed will give you a rare insider's tour of the United Nations, focusing on many disturbing aspects that have been ignored by the mainstream media. You will learn, for instance:

  • how U.N.-supervised funds were diverted into weapons used against American troops
  • how terrorists and rogue states seeking nuclear weapons flout toothless U.N. resolutions
  • how our allies' selfish economic interests drive U.N.-backed challenges to America's sovereignty
  • how kickbacks, bribes, and corruption have pervaded the highest echelons of the U.N.
  • how U.N. ambassadors and staff enjoy luxurious and tax-free Manhattan lifestyles and other perks
  • how U.N. workers have repeatedly turned children into their sexual prey

As Shawn declares in his introduction, "I am disgusted by the fact that the altruistic efforts of so many U.N. staff members are undercut by the greed, corruption, and ineptitude of the bureaucracy they serve."

Fair and balanced, it is not!

Leave it to a senior reporter for Fox News to come up with such blatantly right-wing propoganda this side of Ann Coulter's latest smut! My experience has proven once again to never trust anything from the GOPs media machine. A Fairly unbalanced look at the UN is what I'd call this garbage. And for the record, I am NOT a liberal, and I am NOT a democrat, and I AM a christan who is getting more and more annoyed by these poor examples of what people call 'news.' To be fair and balanced means looking at all sides, not just the side you're not in favor of. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to get fired up about the right-wing medias ability to brainwash and distort the truth for market value, political gain, and notoriety as an 'investigative report.'

Fox News anchor writes a definitive critique

Its obvious that some will have problems with this book because of its honesty about the weakness of the U.N. and how it works against the United States in protecting itself. One wonders if the U.N. is really owned by the Heinz Coperation. After reading this book, the reader will conclude, that the U.S. Government - regardless of Administration - continue to invest so much hope in the U.N to solve world problems, when there's no evidence that they do.

The U.N. is irrelevant at best and dangerous at worse.

A summary of the United Nations at work. This readable account of the true work of the United Nations should be seriously considered. Not everyone writing a review here has the US interests at heart (as is obvious). The U.N. has not solved any international conflict because it cannot. Our interests are frequently at odds with other nations. This book documents how those nations stymie U.S. welfare and use our own money to violently fight against us.

    Biasness And Rhetoric

This book is indicative of the times. Since the Attacks on 9/11 a plethora of books have come out blaming other nations for American shortcomings. This book is simply right win rhetoric being spouted off in lengthy diatribes that take simple facts and distort them until the one great organ for international communication comes off looking like a third-world despot. What you will not find in this book includes: 1. A fair and balanced accounting of the facts. 2. Mention of the good works that the UN has accomplished. 3. Mention of the fact that despite paying for 22% of the UN's operating cost America is routinely missing their requirement for dues. 4. Mention of repeated UN Charter violation by the United States of America. 5. Mention of America's ego and rudeness when dealing with foriegn dignitaries. What you will find in this book: 1. Lengthy bouts of idiocy. 2. Grand assesments and accusations with little or no supporting evidence. 3. Unfounded and insulting claims of impropriety within the UN. 4. 200 plus pages of repitition. 5. The reason why most other Soverign Nations hate Americans. This book and this author gives Americans a bad name and a worse reputation. Every sale of this book goes to furthering misnomers and ignorance.
