I used this book 4 years ago after the birth of my second child. It was so full of good, reliable information on how to breastfeed and overcome any breastfeeding obstacles. It helped me to overcome a serious case of Thrush along with Mastitis. I was able to sucessfully breastfeed my son for 17 months. Since then, I've passed this book along to two other mothers and it has also helped them. I highly recommend this book. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. This book was a great help during very diffucult times. It keeps you trying until you achieve success. I breastfeed my oldest until 11 months old, in which I got sick and was unable to breastfeed due to medications. When the twins were born, my daughter received breastmilk through a bottle, via breastpump, and my son breastfed until 9 months old. This book allowed me to find ways that were comfortable for my children and for me to make breastfeeding easy. I would highly recommend this book to any breastfeeding mom. Good luck and Happy Breastfeeding! Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.

Dr. Newman's book is "the" book to own on the subject of breastfeeding. It covers everything from how to get off to a good start to inducing lactation in adoptive moms. Dr. Newman's book is full of information and is a wonderful resource for both nursing moms and healthcare professionals. This is the best book I've read about breastfeeding. Was this review helpful?
