A great, in depth and practical resource for any Sailor who has made becoming a Chief Petty officer their goal. James Glass lays out the importance of leadership and the dynamics of the “Wheel of Success”, in an easy to understand format. In today’s highly competitive Navy, every First and Second Class Petty Officer should have a copy of this book and practice the concepts provided.

It's about time someone wrote abook about this. I believe the Navy should make this required reading for all enlisted personnel. I'm a retired Senior Chief Petty Officer and I wish I had something like this as a guide when I was in.

Absolute must reading for all sailors who aspire to someday be selected to Chief Petty Officer. Chiefs, this is a great guideline for mentoring your sailors and ensuring they will be competitive before that CPO Selection Board. This book is long overdue. CTRC C.B. Styffe, USN, Ret.
