    young classical guitarist

    I went through this book before I became a classical guitarist and to tell you the truth...even though it is written by a rock guitarist.The knowledge of scalar theory that is packed into this tiny pamplet is quite worthwhile.The only other books that I would recommend on this subject would be Guitar grimoire-by Adam Kadmon or Andres Segovia diatonic scales and modes/slur and chromatic excercises-I believe that you can learn from more than one source and also that theory is theory no matter how you analyze it .I would highly recommend this book and other books by Troy Stetina.

    Fantastic - Highly Recommend

    This tiny pamphlet has got more information packed into that you might first believe! It takes the time to explain the scales and truly does give a crash course in theory. Very worthwhile, especially for such a low price.

    a great book for the price

    This book is a great value. It is jam-packed with information. It's small print may have some readers squinting their eyes. It covers the basic scales and modes along with some exotic stuff.
