Overview

The first of three Les Brown Hindsight LPs has radio transcriptions from 1944-46 when Brown's big band was at the height of its popularity. Doris Day takes five vocals (including "Sentimental Journey") and the orchestra plays a dozen jazz-oriented numbers (highlighted by "Flip Lid," "Lover's Leap," "I Can't Believe That You're in Love with Me" and "I've Got My Love to Keep Me Warm") plus their theme song "Leap Frog." These alternate renditions (which differ a bit from the band's famous records) should delight Les Brown and swing fans, if they can find the LP.
