Finding out your mum is trapped in the underworld must be hard but if she is the only one that can give you the answers your life depends on, then nothing can get worse. Well, it can, but she does't know that yet. Losing all trust in Alex she turns to Laylen who does his best to help Gemma but just lands them both knee high in trouble. The question is, is that trouble worth it?

I just wish I can jump in the book and tell her the one person she doesn't trust is the person with all the answers. Ignoring him is the only way she can get through the day as when he is around she feels an instant tingling sensation and a shock of electricity. Now, what I'd hate most is to finaly get round to asking Alex yet find his answer leeds to using him as bait and spending more time with the only person known to creep her out. You gotta love the tension in this. I admit in some parts you just want it to get on, but trust me, its worth it!!!!!

    I Also Recommend:

GREAT followup to Fallen Star!! Must READ!! You will be HOOKED! Loved it!

Starts out where the shocking cliffhanger of the The Fallen Star left off. Things have changed drastically. Gemma has now become determined to rescue her mother no matter what. Even going to the Underworld to do it.

This book is a great follow-up to the first one. I was on the edge of my seat for the whole book. I didn't get much work done, as I could not stop reading it, and read late into the night. I finished in 2 days as I HAD to find out what was going to happen next. Jessica is a master at creating a very believable yet unique world.

One thing I love about this book is the different mix of mythical creatures that are included. Not only are there Vampire, Witches and Fae but you also have Foreseers and the Keepers. So its not the same type you see out there, this whole series is one of a kind really.

I fell in love with Alex even more (I know, that sounds ridiculous, but it's true). I loved that it was more obvious that he had true strong feelings for Gemma and at how jealous he would get.
I highly recommend this book. I recommend the WHLOE series so far. AMAZING!! Great job Jessica! Jessica Sorensen is one of my favorite authors, be sure to read The Fallen Star first!

Don't Miss out on Jessica's new series called Darkness Falls, and Darkness Breaks (book 2 of Darkness falls) Also, a new spin off series of Fallen Star for when your done with this series, called Lost Soul (Fallen Souls Series Book 1) due out later in June 2012

If i could read this book a million tomes over, i would! Unfortunatly i don't think the librarians would be willing to renew... It's so descriptive. Laylen sounds like a total hottie, and i can totally relate to Gemma. This book is cool beans, couldn't put it down! Definatly a MUST read! ;)

I highly recommend this series for all ages. Each book is a continuation of the last story and you pick right up where you left off. The books are well written and hard to put down once you start reading.

Normally, sequels to the first book are not as good as people expect. The book is definitely not one of those. It picks up very nicely where the first book left off, and did not seem as if the author slacked off on writing it at all! There was a lot of drama between characters, and not a boring moment! I really enjoyed reading this book.
