Featuring both acoustic and folk-rock recordings, this neatly bundles Lightfoot's early work into a listenable and fairly inexpensive package.

    Pleasant But Not Compelling

This is a good collection of early Lightfoot. I think it would have been better whittled down to one CD. (I found myself checking the track listing to see how many more songs there were.) The production is that 60s folk sound that easily drifts into blandness. Lightfoot re-recorded some of the songs for his first Gord's Gold package. Still, for the price, if you are interested in him, this is a can't miss.
