The United States and the PROMESA to Puerto Rico: An analysis of the Puerto Rico Oversight, Management, and Economic Stability Act
This book is your guide to understand why the Board controls Puerto Rico and what its priorities will be in its governing of Puerto Rico.

It analyzes the approval process of the U.S. law PROMESA that establishes an Oversight Board in Puerto Rico that takes over all policy and budgetary authority of the Puerto Rico government. The Board's members are appointed by the U.S. President, and they have the power to rescind all actions taken by the Puerto Rico government.
The book discusses how the law's language reflects the U.S.'s plenary power and control over Puerto Rico and how there is no diminishing the colonialist aspect of the law.

The book includes notes and a bibliography.
