Overview

Negative outcomes such as Global Warming, the Global Financial Crisis, poverty, religious conflict, war, terrorism, crime, and all manner of accidents are not random! They are completely predictable. They all result from negative cause-and-effect chains. *Note - there is no form of human endeavour that allows us to produce a positive human outcome from a series of negative inputs!

Every human outcome (positive or negative) is governed by a specific set of natural laws. When we trigger these laws correctly, we get our positives; when we trigger them incorrectly, we get our negatives. Without knowledge of how these laws work, many individuals and groups continue to select the wrong inputs - attempting the impossible! That is why the world is in such a mess.

The Universal Solution explains the mechanics of these natural laws and how, where and why people are making repeated mistakes and consistently getting things wrong. It provides an unbreakable problem-solving methodology able to resolve every negative outcome situation currently facing humanity, simply by implementing the universal laws correctly. This is the stuff of ancient prophecies. If you have ever wanted to fix the world, here is your opportunity!

Chapter One

KNOWLEDGE AND UNIVERSAL LAWS

Why is a solution possible? How can this idea of fixing EVERYTHING be possible?

There are some immutable Laws of Nature that humanity cannot ignore, challenge, or overthrow. Abuse of these universal laws has allowed humanity to create a multitude of negative world outcomes. Fortunately, these same laws also allow for a complete reversal.

Humanity has discovered and utilised universal law many times. There have been quite a few laws discovered, but there are four laws, or sets of laws, that determine all of our current outcomes. If we acknowledge these laws, and use them as the basis of our planning, then our chances of being globally successful increase at an exponential rate. I will give convenient names to those additional, unofficial laws, which we understand and accept but seldom label.

The universal laws to which I allude are:

* The Law of Balance

* The Law of Opposites

* The Laws of Motion

* The Law of Self-interest

Let me use a computer analogy to explain the use of universal laws. When we use computers, most of us have all of our problems at the user interface level (the surface level). For IBM compatibles, this is within Microsoft Windows and we are dealing only at a surface level with the written software programs. We only see the surface level screens; however, a computer programmer understands the scripting beneath the surface that actually determines which outcomes our interactions with the system will produce.

We make a mistake and we do not understand why the system does not produce the outcome we expect. When we try to make the system do things that it is not designed to do, we create problems for ourselves. As we compound the errors with successive poor choices, we also compound the negative outcomes. These negative outcomes usually escalate in proportion to the compounding errors of judgment or negative inputs.

When the scripting behind the program is explained to you, you can start to see that the program cannot think for itself. It is programmed to produce specific outcomes. It will constantly produce a specific outcome in reaction to a specific user action. You cannot fix this from the surface level. In fact, because the scripting is write-protected, you cannot change the program at all. You need a basic understanding of what the program was designed to do and how it works. Once you understand how it works and what it can and cannot do, you can then use it to produce the correct outcomes consistently.

Similarly, the universal laws are the background scripting and they determine the actual outcomes that our actions will produce in the real world. They are constant, just like computer programs. Specific actions will always produce specific outcomes.

Like commercial computer programs, these laws are write-protected, which means that we cannot alter the way in which they function. We cannot rewrite the program, but once we understand the scripting (i.e. the universal laws) and start to use the system correctly, we cannot help but produce the correct outcomes.

Men such as Sir Isaac Newton, Alexander Graham Bell, Thomas Edison, Benjamin Franklin and Albert Einstein discovered or used many of the fundamental laws that we readily acknowledge. Those scientists are just a few of the thousands of scientists and mathematicians who have discovered elements of the Laws of Nature. The important point here is that they did not create or invent the effects they discovered and described. They simply discovered (or proved correct) some of the universal laws that govern the way all things in the world operate.

'Modern' scientists have merely added to the knowledge and theories often first discovered or suspected by philosophers, mystics, prophets, priests, astronomers, mathematicians, and scientists over the past 3,000 years or so, from the times of the Ancient Greeks, Egyptians, Babylonians, Persians, and beyond.

This book simply combines a few of the universal principles into a problem-solving method which provides a simple, consistent solution to each problem whenever it is applied. What surprised me when I first began toying with this problem-solving method is that I could find no fault with it; it always works. I tried desperately to fault it, believing that it surely must contain some flaw. Yet, even with outside assistance, I found it impossible to break. When it finally dawned on me that I was trying to defy the universal laws that actually determine the outcomes, it was no longer surprising that the system works. It makes perfect sense. This system produces a specific outcome to a specific user action in the way that the universal laws were apparently designed to be used.

The universal laws are unbreakable and, consequently, the problem- solving solution produced by correctly combining them is also unbreakable. Correct implementation of this problem-solving solution produces consistent positive solutions, enforced by universal law, which no one can successfully resist, corrupt, or prevent.

Do not be concerned about ownership. No one can own the universal laws. We can but use them correctly or incorrectly. This is not a religious book: it neither advocates nor renounces religion, nor favours any particular belief group. This is a universal solution, available to people of all faiths, races, cultures, and belief systems. All groups will be able to access this solution, providing benefits for their own people from the positives produced, whilst retaining their beliefs, cultures, and identities.

Confirmed atheists, relying on logic and science, will be able to rationalise this book as a practical, step-by-step solution to fix current problems. Conversely, those who believe in God or a Creator (or just class themselves as 'hopeful seekers') will find that this solution confirms their belief systems. How can it serve both purposes? Science is based on the Universal Laws of Nature. Atheists probably agree with that approach. For believers, God created the world and, therefore, God also created the universal laws that make the world work. This system does not contradict those beliefs. Therefore, it should accord with almost any belief system.

Before you decide that a total solution cannot be possible, consider that your judgment of what is possible is filtered through your experiences within a specific society. This is only a perception of reality based on the concepts that you hold to be true. Your belief in what is or is not possible usually relies on some form of cultural authority, like science, which translates the world into digestible, seemingly concrete information and gives you a frame of reference by which to judge things, or does it?

For those of you who have seen the movie The Truman Show, brace yourselves. You, like Truman, are about to start recognising cracks appearing in the façade of what, until now, may have appeared to be 'normal' life. Similarly, if you have seen the movie The Matrix, you will be able to relate to the concept of a synthesised, artificial world that is not what it seems.

Modern Western society currently has an over-reliance on scientific validation. I want you to pause for a moment and remember that 'modern science' is, as yet, unable to explain many things in the universe. Here are just a few of the thousands of unanswered questions:

* How do all parts of the brain really work?

* How do the extraordinary abilities of those with savant syndrome come about?

* How did the universe begin?

* What is humanity's true history?

* Why is it that professional fire walkers do not get burnt?

* How does the telepathic phenomenon that twins experience occur?

* How can a distressed mother lift a heavy truck off her child?

* What causes the common 'near-death' experiences?

* How can we cure AIDS, cancer, or even the common cold?

* Why do we find mathematical patterns and ratios inherent in minerals, plants, and humans?

* How much do we really know about quantum physics?

* Why does acupuncture work on some medical conditions?

* Why do some people see ghosts?

* Is there intelligent life on other planets?

* How is life created 'from scratch'?

* How much do we really know about the complexities of the universe?

Whilst we may consider modern civilisation clever, we need to acknowledge that, in many ways, modern thinkers have barely scratched the surface of true understanding.

It is time for humanity to leave behind the darkness of ignorance and emerge into the true light, at last able to see clearly and understand the actual mechanisms responsible for creating the daily realities we experience.

Humanity has brought the world to the brink of annihilation several times within the last hundred years, by accepting leaders who have no understanding of how the system actually works. This is about to change. There are not enough superlatives to prepare you for the outcome. Prepare to experience a pleasant paradigm shift.

Chapter Two

FEAR AND MOTIVATION

*Note-before I address major concepts in depth, there are a few 'housekeeping' items that must be attended. Please bear with me: their importance will become all too apparent as new ideas begin to unfold.

CAUTIONARY FACTORS

To allow you uninhibited access to the ideas being presented, it is first necessary to address two potential hazards. The outcomes that can be achieved by the solutions presented here are far better than those currently being experienced by most people, so going from where you currently are to where you would like to be, is a journey towards increased health, safety, and security. However, there are two natural human behaviours which have the potential to produce a fearful and/or emotional reaction in response to any new ideas. Should those reactions occur, they would seriously inhibit your ability to calmly read this book and appreciate the true value of the ideas being revealed. So, let me try to put any natural concerns to rest, to allow you to read with a clear head.

FEAR AND SAFETY

As you know, we humans have a programmed 'fight or flight' response to perceived threat. A number of the subjects discussed will be dear to your hearts: money, jobs, employment and future social change. These subjects have a huge potential to trigger the 'fight or flight' response.

You may perceive the ideas presented as a journey from what you now perceive as 'relative safety', through a period of potential upheaval and change, towards a period of complete unknown. If this happens, you will need to be ready for the 'fight or flight' response and understand why it might happen.

The fear that uncertainty elicits, for those who experience it, is a normal, primal response to perceived threat. You need to understand that this is a completely normal reaction. Acknowledge such feelings as real and valid and accept the fear, yet continue to read to the point where your fear begins to dissipate. When you do that, you will see how easy the solution is to achieve, what sort of outcomes it will produce, and the huge potential for increased safety provided by these ideas.

A section on Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs and motivation was always going to be a necessary and integral part of this book; however, the need to address personal fear became evident when I first began to 'sound out' these new ideas with friends and colleagues. Some of their disproportionately hostile or closed-minded reactions appeared to be completely out of character for mature, normally level-headed, professional, tertiary-educated people and really surprised me.

Initially, I suspected that these reactions were due to personal insecurities connected with individual personalities (understanding that people will act rationally, based on their perceptions of any situation). However, it soon became clear that the reactions were far more than just individual responses. After re-acquainting myself with some of the theory on human motivation, I concluded that, for some people, the ideas in this book were triggering a reaction based on one of the most basic of all human needs-safety. Safety is one of the primary motivators of human behaviour. That is why ideas that take people outside their comfort zone can sometimes trigger such a hostile initial response. They can threaten the individual's concept of safety.

If you react out of a perceived fear for your personal safety, you will be unable to entertain any of these ideas; let alone rationally evaluate them, as your basic need for safety will over-ride your higher reasoning. When people are primarily concerned with safety, their thinking is primarily focused on self-preservation and elimination or suppression of the threat.

If you consider the ideas presented to be a threat to your safety, your mind will close down tighter than a bank vault. No matter how interesting or valuable these ideas may be, your mind will be closed and your resistance to new ideas will be super-human in strength. This next section might help explain why.

We have all experienced fear before. The fear induced by new ideas is no different from the fear or trepidation associated with some major life-changing event, such as starting primary school, high school or university, or the first day on a new job. Similar fears can be triggered by the thought of public speaking, career interviews or unfamiliar situations. In every fear-inducing circumstance, the fear is usually quite out of proportion to the actual threat; yet the dread and urge to avoid or escape is very strong. When you get through the situation and look back, in most cases, the fear has proven to be totally unrealistic. All that is happening is that you are going from a position of perceived safety through a period of perceived threat to another period of safety.

Once settled into a new school, the majority of children rapidly regain their feelings of safety. When people are accepted into a new job, they have gone through a period of uncertainty to a period of increased safety (in most cases), yet the feelings of fear or dread experienced prior to commencing the job were real and valid. The ideas you are about to encounter are likely to present many of you with a similar experience. So, if this happens, relate these fears to other fear-producing situations that you have previously survived and overcome.

Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs is a theory of human motivation generally acknowledged in most professional circles. Abraham Maslow (1908-1970) was an American psychologist who proposed a theory that human motivation follows a five-level hierarchy of needs. This was later revised to six, seven, or eight levels by others. Maslow's theory will be familiar to many people whose professions require an understanding of human motivation, such as doctors, nurses, psychologists, psychiatrists, lawyers, teachers, social workers, priests, police, military personnel, sales representatives and advertising executives.

If you have never encountered his theory before and wish to read more, I suggest you do an Internet search. Maslow's books are usually 'set reading' for many university psychology/psychiatry courses, so they are often difficult to locate in public libraries and can be quite expensive to purchase in a bookstore. Here is a quick 'recap' of the theory.

Maslow proposed that human needs have a hierarchical pattern. Lower needs have to be satisfied before higher needs emerge or become evident. Human needs, listed from the lowest to highest, are:

1. Physiological needs, such as water, oxygen and food

2. Security and safety

3. Love and feelings of belonging

4. Competence, prestige and esteem

5. Self-actualisation (i.e. self-fulfilment, fulfilling one's full potential)

If a person perceives that the need for safety (the second need) is under threat, that person's actions and whole being will be motivated by that need. The need for safety will take priority over all higher needs. The higher needs will not even arise.

The basic tenet of that theory becomes evident in situations of desperation, such as food and water shortages in a refugee camp. Even peaceful people will fight for food and water when they are desperate enough and all of the higher human values are suspended until the basic physiological needs are met.

Similarly, the need for safety is paramount in humans. The fact that more than 23.7 million displaced persons worldwide have fled their homes, primarily because of armed conflict, is evidence that people will put safety before their needs for self-esteem or social justice.
