    A reviewer

Ross-Nazzal clearly demonstrates that the de facto policy of the US has been to prevent the United Nations from helping the Palestinians and Israelis achieve a just and lasting peace. Meticulously analyzing each Security Council resolution, and by giving agency to the players, the author places the reader squarely within the Security Council. You feel more like an observer than a reader of the historical events. This book will be enjoyed by the History Channel crowd, and the book is a must-read for graduate students of the Middle East, Diplomatic History, and International Relations.
