Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Marilyn Courtot
The universe and our place in it really come home in this book. Among the billions of galaxies and billions of stars our little solar system and the planet we inhabit seems minuscule. The authors take us on a tour of our solar system, moving from the sun to the outermost planets, and they include spreads about the asteroid belt, comets and meteors. There is a good section on stars and maps of the major constellations, plus lists of facts such as famous astronomers, facts about stars, landmarks of astronomy and the like. A good overview for those interested in stargazing. There also is a question and answer section, glossary and index.
