I am always a little leary of the free books, but this was an excellent read. I read the entire book in two days and was really impressed with the story. It was a real page turner for me. I highly recommend it to everyone.

I must say Andy Crowson has a real talent here! I have read both of his novels to date, back to back, in under 24 hours...they were that good. I was so taken in by the first chapter, and my attention was held from start to finish. I need more novels with Josef in them...this is just a great detective mystery, fast paced, on the edge of your seat, terrifying, because it could happen...Wow...what a ride! I loved the English accent too!

Overall I really enjoyed the book. I did find the author's lack of grammar and attention to detail distracting. The sloppy use or lack of punctuation made the book difficult to read at times. The author mixed up his own character names in the end. Question marks were interchanged for periods and vice versa, commas not used, improper capitalization and apostrophes were messed up. I know I'm nitpicking, but I'm a writer myself. A competent editor would have gone a long way. The concept was great, but characters were underdeveloped.

This one kept me on the edge of my seat, trying to figure out the connection between the boys. The twist will catch you off guard and then it will all begin to make sense. I highly recommend it if you like a book that puts you in the detective seat and searching for the answer...

Loved the constant suspense throughout the book! The short chapters made the book (NOOK) hard to put down! Cannot wait to read the sequal.

I enjoyed every aspect of this book, even the "villain". I could not put this book down and was truly disappointed when the book ended. I would recommend this to anyone who likes to read books that keep you guessing and on the edge of your seat.

This book is very well written, with twists & turns that keep one turning the page, to try to connect the dots. The only thing I would change is some of the language... I believe it is a fabulous enough story it would stand on it's on, without such strong cursing. I'm not meaning to be a prude, just do not think the cursing in the text is necessary for this book to be captivating! Truly, I believe this book would make an excellent movie, which tells you how much I enjoy the storyline! I plan to read Andy Crowson's next book... I only see the one, so far, so am trying to hold off reading it, so I have a really good book to look forward to in the future! I am eager to see this writer's future stories, hopeful he plans to write many more!

I enjoyed this book a lot. It kept me on the edge of my seat. I liked that it was a mystery book which did not contain graphic violence. The characters were likeable and well developed. I will certainly look for more books by this author.

a good read,,,,,,,,the british accents and the typos were a little distracting but i could not put this book down, thought the plot was great, if any negatives it was repeticious in some places but for the most part it flowed very well, my heart went out to all the characters, i could certainly see how something like this could happen, there is just no way anyone can put a value on a childs life,,,,,or on anyone,,,,,,,an awesome free book,,,,,,i,ll be looking for this author

It is exactly what the title proclaims. What value do you put on a childs life? Some of the pages were top rate writing. Some pages I wondered if a child had taken over. Lots of errors and choppy writing at times but overall a great read. I do recommend the book especially while it is free. You have to be willing to overlook a few areas for grammatical issues however.
