    Excellent read!!!!

I am always a little leary of the free books, but this was an excellent read. I read the entire book in two days and was really impressed with the story. It was a real page turner for me. I highly recommend it to everyone.

Held my attention start to finish!

I must say Andy Crowson has a real talent here! I have read both of his novels to date, back to back, in under 24 hours...they were that good. I was so taken in by the first chapter, and my attention was held from start to finish. I need more novels with Josef in them...this is just a great detective mystery, fast paced, on the edge of your seat, terrifying, because it could happen...Wow...what a ride! I loved the English accent too!

    Great concept, needs polishing.

Overall I really enjoyed the book. I did find the author's lack of grammar and attention to detail distracting. The sloppy use or lack of punctuation made the book difficult to read at times. The author mixed up his own character names in the end. Question marks were interchanged for periods and vice versa, commas not used, improper capitalization and apostrophes were messed up. I know I'm nitpicking, but I'm a writer myself. A competent editor would have gone a long way. The concept was great, but characters were underdeveloped.

    A Good Mystery

This one kept me on the edge of my seat, trying to figure out the connection between the boys. The twist will catch you off guard and then it will all begin to make sense. I highly recommend it if you like a book that puts you in the detective seat and searching for the answer...

    Suspenseful!

Loved the constant suspense throughout the book! The short chapters made the book (NOOK) hard to put down! Cannot wait to read the sequal.

    RIVETING!

This book is very well written, with twists & turns that keep one turning the page, to try to connect the dots. The only thing I would change is some of the language... I believe it is a fabulous enough story it would stand on it's on, without such strong cursing. I'm not meaning to be a prude, just do not think the cursing in the text is necessary for this book to be captivating! Truly, I believe this book would make an excellent movie, which tells you how much I enjoy the storyline! I plan to read Andy Crowson's next book... I only see the one, so far, so am trying to hold off reading it, so I have a really good book to look forward to in the future! I am eager to see this writer's future stories, hopeful he plans to write many more!

    Great Plot

I loved the moral lesson behind the story. It is exactly what the title proclaims. What value do you put on a childs life? Some of the pages were top rate writing. Some pages I wondered if a child had taken over. Lots of errors and choppy writing at times but overall a great read. I do recommend the book especially while it is free. You have to be willing to overlook a few areas for grammatical issues however.

Recommend this to those that like page turners!!!

I enjoyed every aspect of this book, even the "villain". I could not put this book down and was truly disappointed when the book ended. I would recommend this to anyone who likes to read books that keep you guessing and on the edge of your seat.

    Fantastic Story! Poor editing.

This was a fantastic story! I judge a story by how well it captivates me and keeps my interest, how much I care about the characters as if they are real people, if it has a compelling message that evokes an emotional response within me, and whether or not I find myself wondering what is coming next when I am not able to be reading it. This book was great in all of those criteria.
However, as mentioned by so many other reviewers, the typos, grammatical errors, and other editing mistakes were quite distracting! There were even a couple times I would have to go back and read a sentence again to figure out what was being said or what the author had intended to say. Here is the problem with such frequent errors: there were a few times I would read something, and I wasn't sure if I was reading an error or if it was what the author truly meant to write! I have read a few reviews chastising other comments on the poor editing, saying the story is so good we should overlook the editing and just enjoy the story. I disagree. A good author only becomes great when he/she brings the full package and has strong control of voice AND conventions. Poor editing causes confusion and really distracts the reader trying to follow the story, however engaging it may be. I would be really absorbed in the action of this story, then get pulled back to reality when I would come across another mistake. It was so frustrating!
That being said, while I have read that the sequel, To Kill or Not to Kill, is even worse in the editing, I am still going to read it because this author's storytelling is outstanding and I am already attached to his characters. I was so surprised to find a FREE book that was so satisfying to read!
I would love to read more from this author, but I would really like to be his editor before he publishes! I am an editor, myself, so take my commentary for what it's worth to you. Some people may be able to overlook the mistakes more than me, obviously.
In summary: wonderful story, great characters, great message/moral, terrible and distracting editing, but not bad enough to make me put it down!

Okay, I am a 13 year ood who loves to read and I reccomend tgis book. Although it has some pretty heavy swearing, and many, many typos, the story itself was great. I am also always searching for free books that aren't... well, you know, and I always read and re read this story, because when I re read books, there's aways something I miss. Overall, this is a very goodd mystery story and I say it is for ages 13 an up or if you can handle the heavy swearing.

    Highly recommended

I enjoyed this book a lot. It kept me on the edge of my seat. I liked that it was a mystery book which did not contain graphic violence. The characters were likeable and well developed. I will certainly look for more books by this author.

    Not a very good book

This book does have innapropriate language. I deleted the book as soon as I came to some swearing in it. If you do not appreciate bad language, this probably isn't the kind of book you would want to read.

This book has LOTS of cussing. If parents are looking for a book for their children, this is not one. It also jad lots of gramatical, punctuation, and spelling errors. It had a good plot, though.
