So, after a painstakingly long soul-searching (at least five minutes) and after grappling with the possible fate of your immortal soul (who cares if you’re not going to die, anyway), you’ve decided to become a vampire.

Congratulations!

But before beginning that dark and shadowed journey into a life of eternal damnation, every vampire is required to read THE VAMPIRE HANDBOOK, a short step-by-step guide to becoming a vampire and then adjusting to the bloodsucking lifestyle.

Some of the helpful tips in this handbook include: Rules for Living an Environmentally Friendly and Urbane, Undead Lifestyle, Dietary Restrictions for Vampires, Engaging in Battles with Other Immortals, Rules for Fitting into Society and not Scaring off Potential Meals and much more...

In addition to THE VAMPIRE HANDBOOK, you will also get THE WERE/SHAPE-SHIFTER HANDBOOK and THE ZOMBIE HANDBOOK as well as a few sample chapters from PJ Jones's sparkly vampire parody, ROMANCE NOVEL.

Meet the Author

PJ Jones began writing parody in the spring of 2009 when she was seriously ill, thinking that ROMANCE NOVEL would be her last dying legacy for mankind. If you read it, you will probably wonder if she was trying to seal her fate in hell. Who knows? But PJ Jones has conquered her illness and is much better now.

PJ Jones is also an avid reader of real romance novels, even the sparkly vampire ones. So why does she poke fun of them? Consider it comic relief.

    Was great to read!

If you prefer vampires that sparkle and dont like laughing i dont suggest you read it no matter what. But if you enjoy poking fun at the ruin of books that ruined themselves the moment they drove away from the real myths.......youll love this.

    Like the book says ...

This book does pretty much what it says on the tin. It tells you everything you need to know about living life as a vampire (or zombie, or were-thing). It's definitely a laugh-out loud read.

A fun, short story continuing the Twilight parody of Jones's Romance Novel goodness.

If You Have A Sense Of Humor Read This

My 13yr old twilight fan and I both read this book. It's Gr8, funny so worth the time. If you don't like to laugh don't read it. I think it's good for all ages.

This short story made me chuckle a few times so, mission accomplished. I like how it made fun of various famous people and certain "other books". I'd like to read more along this line. Everyone needs to laugh or chuckle once in awhile.

    Disappointed

Not sure what I was thinking. Wanted a story to read and ended up with a manual.
It's exactly what the title says "Handbook"

    more from this reviewer

Haha!! Hubby kept asking what in the world I was laughing at! ;)

This book was hilarious! P.J. Jones has packed a lot of crucial information into this handbook! It is in MY opinion that EVERY mortal should read The Vampire Handbook if they are going to seriously consider becoming a vampire, a were-changing thing or a zombie ;) There is vital information to be taken into account before taking that final leap into this lifestyle. Things that I am sure, we are ALL unaware of.

P.J. Jones's sharp and witty sense of humor had me laughing out loud several times. My husband *who usually doesn't even bother to ask what I'm reading* kept wanting to know what in the world I was laughing at ;) The Vampire Handbook is a quick but entertaining guide into the immortal life. A MUST read for those who just want to sit down and have a few good laughs. You're sure to put this book away with a smile on your face ;)

    nice

Honest funny moments but some jokes were just reaching to hard. Romance at the end felt like the author was trying to hard to be funny.

Good book if you aren't a fan of Twilight...

I liked this short story/handbook because I enjoy authors that aren't afraid to poke fun of other authors and stories. This handbook is full of sarcasm and includes Bonus handbooks for Shifters and Zombies... Check it out!

    Amusing

"The Vampire Handbook" is a compilation book that includes four short stories. The handbooks for vampires/werewolves/zombies read like training manuals in a comical, but structured manner. They are rather repetitive when read in one sitting. As a bonus, there is an excerpt from the author's Twilight parody short story. It gets old quickly, too. Although, for 99¿, it is a pretty good deal.

Be warned. This is strictly basic tongue-in-cheek humor. There are a lot of Twilight references and criticisms throughout. It is a good one time book, but does not rank highly for re-readabilty. I will probably archive it.

    Silly and repetitious.

This was one of the few books that I would not encourage reading even for fun.
