Best book on the subject - bar none

If you've seen the trendy, pseudo-hip tripe that passes for insider guides to fests, you'll be amazed that this cuts out the kiddie nonsense and gets to the facts. The book is a compilation of expert views, from world-reknowned pros that spare you the posing and supply you with the scoop, including people who are pioneers in the fest world and critics with decades of experience. The chapter on how to start a film fest by Darryl MacDonald is alone worth the price of the book.
