"Eddie's first CD," proclaims the cover of this Eddie Fisher compilation. What is not declared, anywhere in the packaging, is that the recordings of the Fisher hits that make up over half of the disc -- "Any Time," "Oh! My Papa," "I'm Walking Behind You," "Lady of Spain," "Wish You Were Here," "I Need You Now," and "Heart" -- are not the original recordings made in the 1950s for RCA Victor Records, but instead re-recordings made in the 1960s for Dot Records (the catalog for which has since passed into the hands of MCA Records). Fisher is in good voice on these tracks, but consumers should not be fooled into thinking that this is a collection of the original recordings of his hits.
