About the Author

Páll Thormod Morrisson has an enduring fascination with early literature and mythology, in particular Norse, Irish and Far Eastern traditions. He has blood links with the Pictish Gaelic Mac Ailpín dynasty and the Norse Gaelic Clann Mac Gille Mhoire of Scotland and the Isles and the Clann Suibhne gallóglaigh kindred of Ulster. As well as The Viking Saga in Ireland, Scotland & The Isles, he is the author of The Viking Runes, The Celtic Heroic Tradition in Myth & Legend and Dionysos in Myth, Drama & Comedy: Bacchic Elements in Greek and Celtic Culture. He also recently published MUSASHI: The Way of Strategy, a study of Gorin no sho (The Book of Five Rings) by the famous samurai swordsman and master strategist Miyamoto Musashi.
