Overview

Appearing in The Lily and Dahlia Trilogies of Vivian Winslow's incredibly steamy Gilded Flower Trilogies, Violet Rai, or Vi, is Lily and Dahlia Baron's sharp-witted BFF, who is always up for a party and a hot guy. But, in The Dahlia Trilogy, there are hints that Vi's world is quickly coming apart.

Wild Violet (Book 1): In this flashback story, Vi, the strikingly beautiful daughter of an Indian business magnate and English supermodel, is enjoying a privileged lifestyle in New York City while a college student at NYU. Yet, in her senior year, Vi learns that her strict and traditional father intends to force upon her an arranged marriage and a career working for his conglomerate in Dubai. When Vi is paired with sexy Spaniard, Andrés Costas, in her ballet class, not only does she find herself falling for him, but he introduces her to a shockingly different world--one that offers her the prospect of escaping her father's plans, but at a price.

Hidden Violet (Book 2): With her hidden past about to be exposed, Vi turns to her longtime friend and confidant, Thomas Squires, for help. Yet, they may just risk exposing their feelings for each other in the process. When Lily's engagement to Alejandro is threatened by ex-lover Gustavo, Vi is forced to come clean with her best friend and possibly destroy the lives of those she loves. Now that her secrets are no longer hidden, Vi faces the most difficult challenge yet--how to build a new life for herself outside of the shadows.

True Violet (Book 3): Things are heating up for Vi in Dubai, and it's not just the desert climate. Vi is starting to come into her own--having the hottest sex of her life and poised to take over her father's multinational conglomerate. Yet, her suspicions are confirmed when she uncovers a plot to destroy not just her but her best friends' lives. With an unlikely ally, Vi seeks to ruin those behind the plot. Will Vi be able to have it all and find her lasting happiness in the arms of the man she loves?

Meet the Author

Vivian Winslow was born and raised in Southern California. Before becoming a writer, she made a career out of moving around the world every couple of years thanks to her husband’s job and her incurable wanderlust. She currently lives in New York City with her husband and two elementary school age children, and is grateful to finally have a place to call home for more than two years.
New York is the perfect city to indulge her love of fashion, the arts and especially food. If she’s not at home writing or running around the city with her kids, you’ll most likely find her eating at the newest restaurant in her beloved Lower East Side or having a cocktail at her favorite bar in Alphabet City. That said, she’s still a California girl at heart and would gladly trade in her heels for a pair of flip-flops to catch a sunset on the beach.

4 stars Let me start by saying that I have enjoyed this series from the very first book.  The secrets, friendships, drama and love that continued to unfold throughout the series with these last few books, we finally get to see secrets revealed and truths that we had no idea about.  But in the end friendship and love is the key to happiness. As Vi comes to learn that actions have consequences, what will she do to protect her friends and family?  She must step up to the plate and handle things behind the scenes.  And if that means leaving a broken heart or two in her wake then she will do it.   When Vi is given the opportunity to set the past right, she will jump at the chance to finally let it all go.  She is a smart business woman who is willing to show the world that she means business.  As she is becoming more into her father’s favor, she will make an enemy or two along the way.  Vi has no worries that she can handle them too. But what Vi was not prepared for losing her heart to a man that she meet years ago only to run into again.  The feelings and emotions that he brings out in her will become her undoing but in the end will it be all worth it?  Can love be everything Vi wanted?  Can she have her professional career as a major business woman and a man to love her too?

Vivian Winslow's "Wild Violet" is the first story in the Violet Trilogy and the seventh tale in the Gilded Flower universe. Violet, Dahlia's BFF, is an interesting character. This one branched out a little sexually and included a M/F/F three-way! Nom nom nom nom! The nookie is exceptional in this one, you don't want to miss it. It's a quick read and I can't wait to devour the next one, "Hidden Violet," which is coming soon. Vivian Winslow's "Hidden Violet" is the second story in the Violet Trilogy and the eighth tale in the Gilded Flower universe. We get to know some of the men in Violet's life. Again, there are a whole cast of characters and you never know who she'll end up with eventually. I know who I'm rooting for. This one had a little more back story and a little less nookie than the other ones, but the nookie that was there was hawt, as always. The end will make you wish the next story was already available - I know I do! Hurry up and end my torture, Ms. Winslow!  Vivian Winslow's "True Violet" is the last book in her Vi Trilogy and the ninth tale in The Gilded Flower series. It's a sexy read, as always. Violet has had her choice in men all her life and now, she just needs to decide which one will be the forever one. I like the ending to Violet's story - she picks the right guy, IMHO. Lots of delicious sex scenes. I wonder what Vivian Winslow will write next? Whatever it is, I'm in!
