Cooks who do not share Freiberger's obsession with waffles may find the idea of Ceviche on Sweet Potato Waffles for an hors d'oeuvre or a Cheeseburger on a Pumpernickel Waffle for lunch less than enticing; however, most of her 100 or so recipes are for more traditional breakfast/brunch or dessert waffles. Some of these are good, but others, like Carrot Cake Waffles with Cream-Cheese Icing, seem to be stretching it a bit. An optional purchase.
