This book is a must read for anyone who is interested in the human experience. Matt Stewart chronicles his experiences as a non-scholarship athlete who earns the respect and admiration of his coaches and fellow players. His belief in being a part of someting bigger than oneself is told in surprising detail over the course of this story as he relies on faith, family and his passion for the game to earn a scholarship his sophomore season, while helping the Northwestern football program became a national power. I would recommend this book for anyone who is interested in college athletics, but more importantly for anyone who thinks that hard work and dedication are something of the past. The end result will be a high amount of respect for Matt Stewart and his selfless dedication to others.
