Great comic, and never as fun to read asin this app.

Great story and art -- far better even than the TV show, which I love -- but I'd been trying to finish the printed graphic novel (given to me by a friend), and after 2 months decided to try this app. I've now read the first two volumes in a couple of weeka! Get it -- you will love it -- but take my word for it, you will be addicted and have to keep going!

    highly recommended

If you are fan of any drama, not just the walking dead, then this is for you. Kirkman uses the zombie apocalypse scenario to explore the depth of human emotion and to show what we are willing to do just to survive. The walking dead is one of the best comics I personally have ever read and continue reading.
For the fans of the show you may be in for a surprise, for as good as the show is the comic is leaps and bounds better. There are many different characters in the comic and different plot twists than you saw in the series.

    Walking dead

I am amazed at how easy it is to read a comic in this manner. I will likely purchase more comics fo the nook. I wish some other series were available like dc comics and marvel.

    Question about volume

How many issues or books are there in volume 1? I've heard great things about these graphic novels

    Awesome...with one caveat

Let me start by saying that the comic works great on the Nook. The story and art are top notch. That being said, the quality of the scans is inconsistent. Some panels are a sight to behold, others (specifically the smaller panels) don't look so hot blown up on the Nook's 7" screen. It's definitely not a deal breaker, but it is something that could definitely be improved upon.

    Wow. $9.99 for that?

I've paid $8.99 for books over a thousand pages long. This was like an hour of reading. I feel ripped off.

    Did Not Care For

I thought the writing was terrible. Also, the cover was the only thing in color. The book was Black and White?! Are you kidding me?! I'll stick to the tv show.

    Great read... Dissapointing price

With almost every other app store on the planet selling this "app" for $1 less than BN... I was quite upset to be forced to purchase here.

A great read, none the less!
