What We Become is issues 55-60 of the popular The Walking Dead comics! While on the run, Rick realizes that they are close to his hometown and his former police station workplace. So Rick, Carl & Abraham go to town to find more supplies but encounter a group of evil men along the way. Once they get past the guys and into the town, Rick gets a rude welcome from a old friend in the form of Morgan. After the load up the car with supplies and on the road back to the group, they encounter a herd of walkers that is headed straight for the group and everyone on the run yet again. I so love how the comics are so different from the show but yet have the element from the comics that once you read the comics, you understand more about how the scene on the series came to be! It might be a quick read or at lest for me it is but I loved every single scene and how it fits in with the show. I know a pivotal scene for the group is coming up with the twins and I can't wait to see how that plays out! Thank You to Robert Kirkman for writing the perfect comics series ever! I borrowed this book from my local Public Library.

This book could be just about blood and gore, and that is a part of it, but this series just boils down to raw human emotions and we deal with tragedy and the change in the status quo. Robert Kirkman is the star here but everyone pretty much knows that. Artist, Charlie Adlard deserves so much credit for making characters unique, the atmosphere palpable, and the unreal realistic. Just a great read.
