Volume 2 continues the story of Rick and a group of survivors after a zombie apocalypse. They find a farm and have a short stay there. Of course there is some loss. It is interesting to see how the characters react under extraordinary circumstances. And of course their reactions to new people and other ways of dealing with zombies is also interesting. Make sure to read the afterward by Simon Pegg. It is difficult to tell too much about the plot without giving things away. Suffice it to say that Volume 2 is another page turner. I recommend you resist the urge to tear through it. Read it slowly and scrutinize the pictures. The art is so well done. What I really like about this series is that it doesn't pull punches. People die. It is vicious. Survivors can be mean and greedy. Catastrophe brings out the best and worst in people. This series shows both. As I mentioned in my review of Volume 1, I had never read any graphic novels before this series and The Walking Dead made a convert out of me. I really enjoy this series.

Robert Kirkman and Charlie Adlard are somehow able to make two things I normally don't like into something incredibly cool, terrifying, and sophisticated: Black & White comics and zombies. Now admittedly, the zombies are the most minor of characters in this tale of what happens after the "outbreak" but Adlard still draws them to chill and disgust you. The main cast is great and a few more enter the fray in this trade and have already added something new. I can't wait to read the next one. This book should not work for me but Kirkman once again shows me how wrong I am. Great stuff!

There is only one thing better than Volume 1 of Robert Kirkman¿s Walking Dead. And that¿s Volume 2. The story is great, the artwork is fantastic. Have I mentioned that this may be the Greatest Zombie Story EVER ? The Walking Dead: There Is No Substitute.

The struggle of surviving zombie apocalypse still continues as Rick and his group faces more treacherous obstacles in their way. This book pick up where book one had ended as group had lost precious people in their group however find new people to support them for survival and having place to stay. On the other hand  can this last  forever? As you read  you see how the characters interact with new people, dealing with zombies, and zombies. Its quite interesting how the things outcome in this book. In general The Walking Dead : Miles behind us is great sequel in this novel series fans will be  enjoy it.

Ok many of you out there i just ask two questions out of you and this goes along with the comics and tv show. If you were in a zombie comdemed world 1 who would you pick to be with you in that be and why? 2 if you were to live in a world with zombies which book would be the best to read when the world is well zombie infested. Fyi the book must be a zombie one and nothing else.

Miles Behind Us is the 7th-12th issues of the popular The Walking Dead comics! We pick up where we leave Rick and the group trying to decide where to go, they find a abandoned gated neighborhood but not is all what it seems in there. It takes a accident with Rick's son Carl to find a nearby farm that is harboring some deep secrets. The farm's owner Herschel and Rick get into a fight about them staying after the secret is reveled about what Herschel is hiding and it sends the group back out looking for a new home, which they may have found by the very last page in the form of a jail.! As I read more of The Walking Dead comics, I fall even more in love with the series and you can't but love how different it is from the show! I'm liking the Illustrations in the comics that give the story even more background to what is going on within the story-line. I can't wait to get into the next book where we are finally in the prison and a dark, evil character in the form of The Governor is about to be on the scene! Thank You to Robert Kirkman for making this my favorite comics series ever! I borrowed this book from my local Public Library.
