    A reviewer

If Volume 3 was Safety Behind Bars, this installment in the zombie series should be Volume 3.5: Nobody Is Safe. It is still a great series. What more can be said? Kirkman is writing a Modern Zombie Classic, that really about the true nature of humanity. And human frailties are very present in this installment. If there¿s a god in Hollywood, he should be making Walking Dead movies, right now.

    Excellent

In this volume of "The Walking Dead", the group takes refuge in a prison. But, be warned everything is not what it seems. Happiness and stability are so precious and tenuous in this world. I believe that people would do everything in their power in order to preserve it. Unfortunately, nothing ever goes according to plan in this series.

The writing is excellent. The illustrations are comprehensive. The characters are believable, because their situation has the scent of realism that every great zombie book needs.

Through thick and thin, I am going to weather the storm along with these characters until the bitter end.

    Beautifully done.

This was the first one I read, but it won't be the last. It seems like in the average zombie story, we see the first week or so, if that, of the attack and then either everything goes to hell or everything is fine. We never get to see how the people live in a longer timeline. The characters are extremely real and the their development is astounding. Don't get me wrong, the art is good too.

    more from this reviewer

Robert Kirkman has certainly hit gold with his gripping yet basi

Robert Kirkman has certainly hit gold with his gripping yet basic survival horror book, The Walking Dead. He has the ability to make you believe that people would act the way he describes in these insane situations. Here, there are unbelievable turns and twists as the group tries to settle into the prison. The dialogue is perfection and the plot is still very solid. The book is amazing can you can think that not much is happening then when you look back at what you read, there is always a ton. The art is still perfectly suited for the book and once again, being black and white is genius. Another great book.
