This is one of the issues where terrible and good things happen in "The Walking Dead" series. It is a disturbing volume, again. It is definitely not for the faint of heart. As usual, the visuals elicit a visceral response from me. The writing and dialogue move quickly, but not fast enough in some parts. The tension is palpable. Good job to the author and artist once again! -AvidReader

The Walking Dead - comics' greatest Zombie soap opera - shambles into its sixth thrilling volume. Don't start here - you'll be missing out. Be Warned: This is definitely not for everyone - this volume, especially. It's hard to overstate how intense and challenging this series is. It's very strong stuff and not for the faint hearted. Even the jaded will have to admit that this is a harrowing read

The more I'm reading this, the more liking the tone and story arc so far. And so far, while interesting also kind of sad. And yet you want to keep reading as you follow these characters in this zombie apocalypse. Plus it makes me want to watch the show again.

Robert Kirkman's depressingly stark world is portrayed so well here. We, the readers, are shown some of the atrocities of this world. While I feel I'm used to the gore from reading the previous books, this one was the most gruesome so far. I felt it went too far, although I do understand that's the point. Charlie Adlard's art is the same as always which is perfect for the book. Overall, a very good book with a little too much gore at times.

The Walking Dead is possibly my fave comic series of all time. I don't like the show, however. Too boring for me. I prefer reading, anyways.
