More chills and intrigue in brilliant Zombie series

    Highly recommended.
Honestly? I was looking forward to some relief after the huge events of Volume 8.
Instead, I got another thrilling instalment in this excellent Zombie comic. This volume kicks off with one of the creepiest stories in the series and that's saying something. There's plenty of Zombie head-splitting and other bloody dismemberments, but the drama in the opening chapter focuses on the desperate plight of two of its characters. That is, two of the few characters who survived the previous volume. This is a hallmark of Walking Dead - anyone can die.
Later chapters in this volume introduce some intriguing clues about the origin of the Zombie plague. This is a welcome development and answers some interesting questions. Don't worry - this isn't pointless exposition. What we learn here is the link to a great new story arc.
This may be an okay jumping on point for some readers - but I'd advise against it. You'd only be depriving yourself of the pleasure of reading in its entirety one of the very best comic series ever.
If you do decide to join with this volume, a word of caution.
Be prepared for some of the most tension filled thrills you've ever experienced as a reader. Also, some of the most graphic violence and language. For me, the dramatic situations that the characters land in is more disturbing, but you get the idea. This is strong stuff.

    AWesome

In this one, we see what Rick and Carl go threw after the aftermath of the prison. Aunestly, I think it was a little bit short. Great story. 4.5/5

    Dark fun

Early on in the series Rick attempts to put a through a walker head but a man stops him saving "save it for when you need it" with an epthasis on need. At first you think he meant another walker but by now you realize what he meant. A way to escape the suffering and heartbreak of the hellish world they live on. Welcome to the Walking Dead

    Stunning Story!!

I didn't know I liked comics. Well, perhaps I don't really. I don't know. I LOVE this story of The Walking Dead. Is it possible to be "too impressed?" It is for me. The amazing story line that Kirkman delivers is one to easily latch on to, stay interested, and stay amazed. It is a comic strip for sure, but this world created that these poor people live in, goes to show how much one can change, develop, or better yet become. You feel right there with this special group....not trusting strangers, mourning losses, getting angry at unfortunate events, being afraid....this is intense, personal, and so well written. Not for the faint of heart, but recommended 100% to anyone looking for a world to feel attached to, and one you can identify and relate to come the intense events of all imagination in this captivating tale of zombie apocalypse. I chose to review this specific volume because it might be the most touching to me personally, with several close seconds.
