Overview

Through his fiction, H.G. I don't understand why would you put two books, with IDENTICAL content, on the same collection. It doesn't make sense and it is enraging. I, for one, was trying to buy all of the " Barnes & Noble Leatherbound Classics", but apparently my collection is never getting completed, because I refuse myself to buy the same book twice just because it has a new cover.

While I can understand the frustration of previous reviewers on this product, I refrained from purchasing the original release of this book because I did not like the artwork and the purple color of the leather. This book has sleek blacks and blues, and I readily picked it up to add to my collection, and am quite happy with the purchase. What they have said is completely true though, in that it is the exact same book as before, so if you own that one, you probably don't need this one.

Regarding Barnes and Noble Leatherbound Classics publishing the

Regarding Barnes and Noble Leatherbound Classics publishing the same collections with identical content, this has been done with Edgar Allan Poe and H. P. Lovecraft as well.  The same content with the same title but with different covers or a slightly different title with different cover but with the same content.  It's misleading, confusing, and deceiving.  What's worse, is that in the stores they often have shrink wrap about the books so the consumer is unable to view the contents to compare to the book or books they already have to see if the contents are the same.  Of course online it can be just as difficult to distinguish this as well.  This practice should be stopped.
