Editorial Reviews

Fantasy Review
"Bujold's first book SHARDS OF HONOR was called 'possibly the best first novel of the year' by the Chicago Sun Times. THE WARRIOR'S APPRENTICE is even better."
Locus Magazine
"The action is fast, furious and delicious... Best of all, Bujold achieves a fine balance of comedy with intelligence, heroics with loss, so THE WARRIOR'S APPRENTICE goes far beyond simple entertainment."
Book list
"The pace is breathless, the characterization thoughtful and emotionally powerful, and the author's narrative technique and command of language compelling. Highly recommended."
- Booklist
Library Journal
“Bujold continues to prove what marvels genius can create out of basic space operatics.”

Amazing. Please either reprint all the series electronically.

Love Miles Vorkosigan: a brave, brilliant boy, caught by a lie that that grows until it throws him into an adventure that changes himself, his world and the other human worlds in his universe.

As the series grows and develops, so does Miles. If you can find them, read 'Test of Honor' and 'Barrayar' which are about how his parents met, and how Miles became so physically fragile. Also shows where his guts and briliance come from. Even after all these years, I hope for more Miles.

I was hooked from the beginning and continued on to read the whole series.  Miles Vorkosigan is such a complex and rich character that you love him from the start.  Each critical turn of his adventure is a surprise. When it seems he is defeated, his clever brain finds some way to recover and conquer.  I loved the whole series and this was the book that hooked me.
