The Wars of Napoleonby Charles J. Esdaile
There have been exhaustive studies of individual campaigns and theatres of war from military historians, as well as broader accounts that focus on the military operations of Napoleon himself and the other key figures of the time. But these military studies have frequently neglected the political, social and economic aspects of the Napoleonic wars.
