Description: This is a good review of surgery in a format that is easy to use. It covers a lot of areas and has a lot of useful information.
Purpose: The purpose of presenting the information in this format is to allow surgeons to quickly search topics and read about them using the convenience of a PDA. The product meets its objectives and are definitely needed.
Audience: This product is mostly for residents, physician assistants, or nurse practitioners in any of the surgical fields. It meets the needs of its intended audience and the authors are credible.
Features: This product covers a vast amount of information in an easy to use format. One can quickly move from topic to topic. One useful topic that is difficult to find a reference for is ACLS. A user should be able to just type ACLS into the search and find it, but the only way I found it is by typing epinephrine and choosing the life support option.
Assessment: This is a very useful tool for those medical personnel who are learning how to take care of surgical patients. Those using this product would enhance their education. All residents should have a copy of this available at their fingertips.
