Washington Times, the real D.C. paper

The Washington Times is replete with intelligent and thought provoking journalism. It is the model on which journalists should aspire. Unfortunately, its business model is failing in a town of latchkey liberals. While I don't always agree with the editorials, the paper is well written and informative. For comparison, if the Washington Times is FoxNews, the Washington Post is MSNBC.

    Conscise, factual, unbiased

This is newspaper reporting the way it used to be and the way it should be. Unfortunately, too may of today's papers suffer from editorial spill-over into news items, and the whole paper ends up being a biased editorial. As a result, you are deprived of the "straight news" and are unable to make up your own mind because you are deprived of the facts. The NY Times, LA Times, WA Post, Boston Globe, Chicago Sun Time, Miami Herald and others suffer from this affliction. The news items in the Washington Times are not editorials. It's a pleasure to read. It has very good columnists who do not fabricate or plagiarize, which is something these days.

    Fair And Balance

I love a Newspaper that gives just the facts and no spin. These scribes live up to their words.

    Comprehensive coverage

I love this newspaper! It covers the nation, politics, and international news among other topics. The stories are also laid out in an easy way to read. They read just like the books, side to side, instead of up and down, like a magazine to which I subscribed. The writers are good, respectful, and fair. I dropped Time magazine after I began this subscription.

    Right wing extreme newspaper

I like a balanced approach to reporting. This paper is extreme conservative right wing oriented! Not my cup of java!
