    So AMAZING! A MUST READ!

I have no idea how this book isn't know! It was amazing and I am so happy I found it. While it does have angels, which in my opinion can get a little tedious and sometimes outright annoying. This book was far from any angel book I've ever read. While the writing style is a little underdeveloped in some places the author uses words that most others are to afraid to use and this is what makes her writing stand out.
When I first started the book I was a little nervous, there hadn't been many reviewers and most didn't have much to say. Then the book started and I was blown away at the creativity she used to make a world of watchers, half angels that have a temper and aren't well loved in the angel community, the concept of this book is unique. The characters are likable and HILARIOUS! There were SO many times I laughed out loud from the witty banter between all of them.
Our main character, Clare, is used to life on the run. Unlike most characters these days she well informed on whats going on. Her mother tells her that shes half angel and there is a war going on between two dangerous people and they will recruit her but if she doesn't come willingly they'll kill her. So when she winds up in her moms hometown where her mother left, King's Cross, she's not very happy. Already different from everyone else her appearance wards people away further, as a punk girl most are to afraid to come to close, which is how she likes it. People don't ask questions that way which keeps her safe. Then she meets Daniel, the popular boy that all the girls love and all the boys envy. There first encounter, while hilarious, is not on the best of terms. Daniel is curious about the punk girl that has shown up and beat him where no one else could. This is the making of a witty and hilarious friendship that sparks something deeper.
The secondary characters are great, the action is intense, the romance is heart warming and the plot special. This book has it all and is a must read!

Because this book was free, I had doubts about it of course, but I was totally blown away by the writing. The plot was intense, the characters were lovable and real. There are a few mistakes here and there in the course of the work, but they in no way hurt the story, plot, or flow. I really enjoyed every moment of the watchers and was sucked into the story line very easily. All the better that is was free, because I might not have discovered it otherwise! I really liked Clare's sense of humor, her relationship with daniel and her friendship with Alex. Clare and Daniel were not the average lovesick type romance. They are both stubborn and dedicated to the right thing. It made for interesting reading and I am genuinely excited to read the next book in the series. It was not your average romance, but somehow an action adventure story, horror, and mystery novel all rolled into a world I could easily imagine. Recommended!

I really enjoyed this story. Angels and demons seem to be everywhere now, but I felt like this was a fresh take and very suspenseful to the end. Not your average angel story.

This was an amazing book that sucked me into the world effortlessly. I love the idea of Watchers and of course it was a fantasy book. The mystery kept me hooked and I enjoyed the dialogue a lot. the characters weren't dumb and they certainty didn't talk down to the reader. there was a flow to the writing that i liked, especially in the merging of description and dialogue. lynnie didn't try to talk down or limit her language. it made me enjoy the book even more. i really liked it and plan on reading more of the series, which is probably the best recommendation i can give.

    I liked it

Was a good book loved the idea of clare being punk which made for an interesting heroine...once u get to the epilogue i suggest listening to tears of heaven by eric clapton while clare is playing it for daniel at the end cuz it made for a good ending, and it was satisfying for the first book which is hard to do with a series...when i get sommore money ill def buy th second one.

    Fairly decent

Once you get past the Twilight reference it's a nice tail of fallen angel children. They are half angel. Claire the lead female character is nothing like Bella! Bella was weak and quiet ( either that Kristen Stewart has clouded my perception) this girl is tough and strong and fights with her male lead Daniel, and for her friends and family took Bella three books to do that. Lol! 649 pages and was free on my nook. Wouldn't mind reading the others, not sure I want to pay for them though? Anyone have them to lend?
