Overview

Sun-dwellers are fowl monsters that eat a human’s flesh from their bones…or so sixteen-year-old Lyra has always been taught. To keep their citizens safe, her colony seals itself into the vaults by day.

Moonwalkers are horrible beasts that feed on the blood of men…at least, that is what Perseus was told. The only sure survival for his people is to lock themselves into their repositories each night.

Both labeled as undesirable by their respective kinds, a fated meeting in the forbidden forest offers Lyra and Perseus an unexpected chance at happiness. If they can overcome their own prejudices and discover the truth about one another before time runs out.

Can the sun-dweller and the moonwalker learn that when reality is distorted by hate and terror sometimes the only thing to truly fear is fear itself?

Meet the Author

Originally from California, I currently reside four miles from downtown Cincinnati with three badly behaved pets, two delightfully challenging children, and one incredibly supportive soul mate.

Since high school, I have bummed around Europe, learned Italian, found a job that I love, and written three novels for teens.

Things that haven’t changed since high school: my love of punk rock and Mohawks; infatuation with John Hughes films; feeling like I don’t fit in (unfortunately it doesn’t end with high school) and a love affair with Jane Austen.

Things that have changed since high school: love of rollercoasters (not so fun when you get old); having free time; finally knowing what fulfills me as an individual; not caring so much that I don’t fit in.

    The Way Life Was Forever

It started off with Lyra (the moondweller) catching her sister in the forest and getting lost .Then she ends up bumping her head and passing out .The "sundwellers" Cassian and Perseus find her and help her. Next,Perseus ends up falling in love with Lyra and Lyra ,Perseus. And then Lyra finds her lost cousin who was supposedly abducted by the "sundwellers" and finally realizes that love is everwhere and in everyone and that one day she hopes that sundwellers and moondwellers would live in harmony and love! And although I probably make it sound boring, you will have to trust me on this one.Such a sweet story that will never be forgotten!
