Overview

What is masculinity? Ask ten men and you'll get ten vague, conflicting answers. Unlike any book of its kind, The Way of Men offers a simple, straightforward answer-without getting bogged down in religion, morality, or politics. It's a guide for understanding who men have been and the challenges men face today. The Way of Men captures the silent, stifling rage of men everywhere who find themselves at odds with the over-regulated, over-civilized, politically correct modern world. If you've ever closed your eyes and wished for one day as a lion, this book is for you.

About the Author

Jack Donovan has been exploring, articulating, and refining a timeless, cross-cultural ethos of masculinity since 2007. His most notable published works include The Way of Men, Becoming a Barbarian, A More Complete Beast, and Fire in the Dark. Donovan's most popular books, essays, symbols, images, key concepts, and quotations have influenced a generation of young men - including many of the most popular and up-and-coming speakers, writers, and creators in the exploding twenty-first-century men's movement. A frequent podcast guest and occasional speaker, Donovan has spoken several times at the 21 Convention - one of the world's premiere forums for masculine thought and development. In 2021, Donovan co-founded CHEST Magazine, an online and print publication featuring interviews with many of the most widely recognized contemporary advocates for men and masculinity. Donovan was born in Pennsylvania in 1974, briefly attended art school in New York City, and spent the better part of two decades working his way through blue and white-collar jobs in California and Oregon. He's been a public relations hack, shipped packages, delivered exercise equipment, driven produce trucks, and even operated a small tattoo shop inside a powerlifting gym for a few years. Donovan currently resides in Utah.
