Maid of honor Sarah Carlton hasn’t failed at anything since her high school science project was sabotaged by a relentless competitor. So, she’ll do whatever it takes to make her best friend Jill’s wedding absolutely perfect. That includes taking the next flight out of Sacramento to retrieve the panicked bride’s cherished family wedding charm from her late grandmother’s attic in Atlanta, Georgia.

Unfortunately, someone else has offered to come to the bride’s rescue—best man Ben Atkins, the same man who destroyed Sarah’s high school science project all those years ago. Now he wants to one-up her by retrieving the charm first? Sarah refuses to let that happen. The race is on.

When Sarah and Ben arrive in Atlanta, instead of finding the wedding charm there’s a letter from the bride’s grandmother directing the bride and groom to complete a series of tasks in order to prove their commitment to each other. With the wedding only two days away, Sarah and Ben must join forces by pretending to be the bride and groom in order to earn the wedding charm. Should be a cinch. After all, how hard can it be to fake true love for forty-eight hours?

Maid of honor Sarah Carlton is none too happy to find out her childhood nemesis, Ben Atkins, is the best man at her best friend's wedding. He's been constantly one-upping her since they were in school, which totally infuriates her. When they're thrown together on a quest to find the bride's family wedding charm and forced to complete a series of tasks to retrieve it, they've gotta set aside the past and learn to work together. I completely adored The Wedding Charm! It was perfectly paced, keeping me entertained the whole way through. I read it in one afternoon, it was so good! Written in first person from Sarah's point of view, she was a fun and sassy narrator. Ben was super charming and swoon-worthy with a funny side to him. They're super competitive and complete opposites, but the perfect match. I loved Moose the dog... so adorable! This was such a delightful and fun, feel-good romance that I would definitely recommend to lovers of sweet romantic comedies! I received a copy of this book from Netgalley and voluntarily reviewed it. All thoughts and comments are my own honest opinion.

A wedding and a scavenger hunt give two long time enemies, the chance to make things right in Susan Hatler's feel good romantic comedy. He's the jerk that sabotaged her high school science project. She's the girl who could always push his buttons. A much in demand wedding charm and a matchmaking grandma spell trouble for this long feuding duo. Ms. Hatler knows how to have fun and it shines through in her heartwarming stories. The Wedding Charm is a wild ride.

The Wedding Charm by Susan Hatler was a delightful afternoon read. I know that Ms. Hatler will always provide me a clean, sweet romantic story that will make me laugh and sigh. Sarah Carlton and Ben Atkins have known each other since elementary school. In high school Sarah began to think of him as her "nemesis" because he challenged her in different school contests. Sarah was well developed and the story is from her point of view. I didn't feel like I got to know Ben as well as I did Sarah. However, during their conversations more of Ben was revealed and the HEA ending provided a lot of insight into Ben. The plot was quickly paced and the treasure hunt was creative. Ben and Sarah worked together well, often creating laugh-out-loud moments as they completed the tasks to find the charm. All in all this was exactly what I needed for an afternoon of enjoyable reading - a clean romance with humor, imperfect humans who strive to be the best they can be and the cutest dog ever. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. All of the above opinions are my own.

Unputdownable. An amusing and romantic story with three old ladies giving tasks to the supposed bride and groom for them to prove their commitment to each other. In the process, the maid of honour and best man find a love of their own. I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley. I was not compensated for my review, and I was not required to write a positive review. The opinion expressed here is my own.

Sarah Carlton is the maid of honor for her friend’s wedding. She’s not very pleased when she finds out Ben Atkins is the best man. Ben has teased her since they were kids and always has to one-up her. When Sarah offers to retrieve the bride’s family heirloom wedding charm, Ben offers to go instead. Sarah is determined not to let him show her up again. But the wedding charm isn’t as easy to get as they expected, and now they’ll have to work together if they want to make it back for the wedding in time. This was such a fun story! Sarah is so kind and caring. She is an amazing friend. She definitely let her competitiveness with Ben go a little too far. I had to chuckle when she would take a kind gesture and turn it into a challenge. But I understood why she did. That was her whole mindset when it came to Ben. I loved Ben! He is such a great guy! He just took everything in stride, and I liked the calming effect he had on Sarah. They really worked well together. They had some crazy tasks to complete and it was hilarious to watch how they went about it. Those tasks also brought them closer together and I loved watching their true feelings come to the forefront. I really enjoyed this book! It’s part of the Magnolias and Moonshine series, which includes ten sweet (pink covers) and ten spicy (purple covers) books. The ones I’ve read have been great, and I’m looking forward to reading more. I was given a copy of the book. I voluntarily reviewed it, and have given my honest opinion.

This is such a sweet book and part of the Magnolias and Moonshine series. Oh how I love the South. This one takes place primarily in Atlanta and it was fun to see the city through the eyes of Sarah. This is a cute not quite second chance romance. Sarah and Ben have always been competitive and although a decade has passed since his unconscionable act of sabotage on her science fair project - they find themselves at odds again. Both are determined to obtain "the wedding charm" that their friend Jill must have to avoid her wedding being doomed. So off they go to Atlanta to retrieve it from Jill's late grandmother's house. But lo and behold - instead they are sent on a series of tasks to prove the bride and groom are meant for each other. The antics that ensue are funny, entertaining, and show you a piece of the southern lifestyle. This was a real treat to read and if you want a sweet, clean romance - this is the series to pick up.

I loved this short and sweet story! A combination of enemies to lovers (minus any overt sexy time) and second chance at love, all wrapped up in a wedding plot. Sarah and Ben have known and competed against each other since they were kids. So when the bride needs a favor, this maid of honor and best man duo are eager to help. What ensues is a modern day scavenger hunt complete with tasks to complete and a case of "accidental" mistaken identity. Thrown in some hoop skirts, an adorable pup and some surprising revelations and you've got an entertaining romance that I didn't want to end! I'll be coming back to read more Magnolia and Moonshine books, as well as more from Susan Hatler, whose books I continue to enjoy every time I pick one up!

I’ve heard a lot of buzz about the Magnolias and Moonshine romance series and was very excited to read The Wedding Charm by Susan Hatler. First, let me say it was fun. Some of the stories from grade school and high school? Well, they seem hilarious to me (now!) but I do remember some of those things happening to me, and around me, when I was younger. I won’t recap the story as the author tells it much better than I ever could but ultimately it is a story about Sarah Carlton and Ben Atkins – nemesis extraordinaire from Sarah’s childhood. Both are in the wedding party of their friends, Jill and Ryan, as Maid of Honor and Best Man. A major wedding “crisis” occurs and both Sarah and Ben have to fly across the country to find a wedding charm that has been in Jill’s family for generations…before the wedding that will happen in a few days. Anyone who has dealt with a bride with a case of bridal nerves knows Jill will be a wreck but these two go off on a quest. They start off as frenemies and jump thru some crazy hoops to find the charm. They even adopt a dog along the way! Hilarious. (Love the dog, too.) There really is a lot to smile about in this story, and you may even find yourself sniffling. Sometimes I just wanted to say “will you just speak up!” to Jill but the story moved along very well. I’m so very glad I found this group of books and thoroughly enjoyed this quick, fun read.
