A Stand Alone Ferro Novel by New York Times Bestselling Author H.M. Ward

After I get the witch at the front desk to hand me my room key, I head for the shower. I was supposed to shoot my best friend's wedding alone, and I couldn't wait to escape New York and Nick Ferro.

Yeah, he's beautiful, sexy, and completely charming, but he's stealing my clients. He's done so much damage that I'm going to be lucky if I can keep my studio open for a couple of weeks. This wedding means everything to me, and I refuse to let a spoiled brat with a shiny new MBA put me out of business. Screw that.

But then I find myself wearing nothing but a smile when the person I hate most walks through the hotel room door. Nick Ferro. Two adversaries, shooting one wedding and sharing one room for one week. What could possibly go wrong?

Another funny, sweet & sexy book by H.M. Ward

I was given an ARC in return for an honest review.

Holly never disappoints!!! I absolutely LOVED The Wedding Contract! Nick is definitely a Ferro…gorgeous, charming and mysterious! The love/hate, push/pull relationship between Nick and Sky always leaves you wondering…can I trust this guy?! This story has so many twists and turns, manipulation, deceit, rivalry and triumph!!! If you love the Ferro men you will love this story! I can’t wait to see who the “mystery” Ferro man is that shows up at the end!

    Well done, Holly!!!!

Another arrogant, hot, sexy, alpha Ferro man trying to live up to his family's name and fortune? Sure!
Why not? Nick Ferro is all that and more, as one can only expect when it comes to the Ferro men. Sky is
young, vibrant, sweet, and determined. But when Nick Ferro inserts himself into her life and business,
will she continue to be beautiful woman she was or become just as sinister as the Ferro she's suddenly
up against. I love a book that can make me laugh out loud and talk to myself while reading it. Holly had
delivered that type of book yet again as she always does. I was lucky enough to receive an advanced
reader's copy of this book. As soon as I started it, I couldn't put it down until I got to the end. Another
scorching, humorous, entertaining page turner. We have Sky who's trying to save her business and
battling with herself over being attracted to the man who's intent on destroying her. We have a Ferro,
Nick is charming, handsome, attractive, but can't be trusted. At least not where Sky is concerned.  Oh,
and let's not forget about the crappy family members. Everybody has some of those. Right? Well, for Sky
it's her condescending, overbearing, snobbish mother. And for Nick, it's his pompous, slimy, ruthless
father. Will Sky and Nick does as their parents want? Or will they break free and do what makes them
happy? You don't want to miss out on The Wedding Contract. Holly has a way with words and creating
characters and scenarios that are simply amazing and unforgettable. Get your next Ferro fix here! Right
now! I did and it was incredible!!! Although this is a stand alone novel, I would love to see more of Nick
    and Sky!

Damn, now Nick Ferro is my new favorite Ferro!!! Uggggg Holl

Damn, now Nick Ferro is my new favorite Ferro!!!

Uggggg Holly, how do you make me keep falling in love with these boys!!!

The whole Ferro family is F’d up beyond repair. Each of these men are so twisted and broken until the right girl comes along to put them back to rights and Nick is no exception. The Wedding Contract is a fabulous addition to the Ferro family empire that H.M. Ward has built. It’s full of super silly slapstick moments, twisted pranks, hidden agendas, childhood dreams and most of all, romance *sigh*. The entire story is based around two wedding photographers whom are competing for the same clients. Skylar Thompson is building a name for herself as a premier wedding photographer. She’s been featured in newspapers and has a huge client list. She’s definitely on her way to a successful career, which is huge for her because she didn’t go to college and has always been a disappointment to her family, so this means everything. That was until Nick Ferro decided to open an identical studio across from hers and is stealing all her clients.

Nick is from a different offshoot of the family but under the same pressures that come from rich, powerful families. He’s expected to join the family business but when he realizes he has an artistic flare, he follows his heart and becomes a photographer without losing his Ferro edge. Now the two have been hired to cover the same big event wedding and there is definitely a lot on the line. Skylar is in a make it or break it situation, if she blows this, her career is over and she’ll have to move back home as a failure. Nick is in a similar situation, if he blows this and doesn’t completely crush the competition, he’s done for as well. Both parties have everything to lose but when secrets are divulged and their true motivations are revealed, will anyone be left standing or will they rise anew from the ashes?

Ok so if you can’t tell, I totally loved this book. It’s completely different from what H.M. Ward normally does with the Ferro boys but is still similar enough to keep the fans happy. The story is definitely character driven and has a nice ebb and flow while mixing silly competitiveness and high romance. Skylar is hilarious of course and has nothing but bad luck since she met Nick and well Nick, he’s got an evil streak damn it but you still fall in love with him anyways. As a reader, one thing I totally loved was the Peter Pan theme sown throughout the story. It’s a very important book to our heroine and becomes a thread that ties the characters together in simple ways. Why I was so surprised with its use, is that it’s simply not a story you usually see used for romance but it fits nicely in to this one.

As for the story itself, you really feel for Sky and all the drama that has come her way and Holly does a great job of making the reader feel empathetic towards Nick even though he’s the cause of most of the strife. Skylar and Nick are perfect together but you already knew that, it’s their story, LOL.

On a side note: If you decide to buy the book, which I totally recommend, DON’T MISS THE FOREWARD!!! It’s written by H.M. Ward’s husband, Michael. He tells about their early years as photographers and then as wedding shop owners. So as you can imagine, the research for the book is spot on! He also tells about how Holly writes a lot of her own life experiences into her books. It’s just so sweet and romantic in itself, so don’t miss it!

For a standalone new adult romance, I really enjoyed it and I don’t think you need to know the whole Ferro family to enjoy this story although it leads to a deeper understanding if you do.

This was my first H.W. Ward book! It was a quick read and I really enjoyed it. Now I'm intrigued with the Ferro Family! I'm definitely going back to the beginning to find out more. I love the relationships that the author has created with the characters. You know they all mean something to each other (good and bad) and I love when I care about secondary characters as much as the main characters.  Great read!

Waste of time and money. This very short stand alone story is so minimal in character development, poor drama, rushed resolution of conflict and just a lame attempt by this author to make money from her readers. The author can and does better in her Damaged books. The cost of the book is over the top costly and does not even contain 200 pages. Shameful.

Skylar Thompson is pretty bad ass. And a little cray cray.
Nick Ferro is charming and sexy as hell. To everyone but Sky. To her, he is arrogant, condescending and the reason her business is close to shutting down. But under the surface lies secrets and desperation. Nick is different than the rest of the Ferro’s.

They are stuck in the same hotel room, having been booked for the same wedding. Sky’s business is hanging on by a thread, and this wedding is her last chance. Nick refuses to give up, and they make a wager. A wager that will can save Sky from closing her studio if she wins. But if Nick wins, she will not only have to close her studio and be his model… He desires something more.

“My final term, though, the one that makes or breaks this bet—open your legs for me for one night. That’s worth this wager. Think about it.”

The Wedding Contract is filled with dirty tricks, hilarious moments, playful banter and sexual tension so thick you could cut it with a knife. Drizzle a few secrets on top and you have yourself a very entertaining story.

I find this more similar to Scandalous than the other Ferro books. Some of it is definitely because of the artistic aspect, but I also felt like the mood was similar although the characters are completely different. It’s also fairly innocent and light, and not as explicit as H.M. Ward’s other books.

I absolutely loved the ending. And if you have read some of the other Ferro books, you will get a little treat on the very last page. I love how Holly sneaks a few details from her other books in.
And don't forget to read the foreword by Mike, Holly's husband! It's adorable.

I give this book 4 stars because although I really enjoyed it, it's not my favorite of H.M. Ward. It didn't quite get to me the way some of my favorite books of hers have. My one con is that I wish we got to see more of the build-up between Nick and Sky. I feel like they have so much history that we didn’t get to see. Like their first meeting. That scene from Nick’s POV would have been really cool.

I loved this book! But then again, I love everything HM Ward! Sky is a photographer who is working hard to to prove to her mother that she is worthy and can make it on her own. Her business was doing great until the sexy Nick Ferro opened his studio just across from hers. He is not only copying what she does, but is stealing her clients too.
Sky can't wait to get out of town to shoot het best friends wedding. It will be her chance to prove how good she is. All was well until she opened the hotel bathroom door and discovered Nick in her room. Nick was hired by the grooms father and was given the same room.
Sky and Nick are constantly at each others throats trying to out do the other. Nick is so arrogant and cocky, but Sky can see glimpses of a good man inside. He seems to be keeping something from her, but she doesn't know what.
Nick finally tells her that when he first met her she blew him off when he went into her studio to get her to shoot his wedding. He was dressed down in second hand clothes acting the part of groom to be. Sky couldn't tell him that she wouldn't do the wedding because she was so insanely attracted to him and it just wouldn't be right.
After many mishaps, Sky and Nick get stuck in their room together and they share their feelings of love for each other. However, all good things don't last.
You will have to read this amazing book to see how it all turns out!

Photography is Sky Thompson's business, she's good at it, she's so good she refuses to let a competitor, Nick Ferro, steal her clients and put her out of business. She's been asked by her best friend to photograph her wedding which has given her a big boost of confidence.

But when she arrive at the hotel, the grooms father has asked another photographer, Nick Ferro. And there are no more rooms left in the hotel so they will have to share. And the fun begins.

I loved the story, it was excellent. The characters were very likeable, Sky was very grounded and mature, she really wanted her business to succeed. Nick was great, I really liked him.

And so ends another Ferro novel. It was very entertaining and I wait with great anticipation for the next book in the series.

Sky is a twenty something business owner who is always trying to prove herself to her parents especially her judgmental mother.
She finally has some success as a photographer when in walks Nick Ferro to wreak havoc on her life.
Nick begins to steal her clients and sabotage her at every turn.   When they both get hired to shoot the same wedding a week of
drama and chaos unfold.  Sky needs this shoot to go well so she can save her studio and her pride.
I am definitely and H.M. Ward fan and have read several of her books.  I took a shot and requested an ARC for this booking
and was chosen by the author in exchange for an honest review.

Ms. Ward has said on her Facebook page that this book is different from her other Ferro Family books.
It’s not all hot sex and crazy mystery around every corner, this one is in a class by itself for sure.
Sky and Nick’s story is sweet and endearing it comes together really nicely.  I found Sky to be an exceptional heroine
and thought she gave Nick as good as she got.  Going back at him and letting him know that just because
he was a sexy, beautiful guy she wasn’t going to take his attempt to steal her business laying down.
There were funny moments involving a locked hotel room and a jump out a window and another involving
a shower curtain dress that I could not stop smiling about.  I will leave you to read the book to find out further
about those bits of entertainment. Sky and her friend Sophie’s relationship is sweet and fun to read.  The way Sky handles her mother
     is also a hoot.
This is a great addition to The Ferro Family series of books and I wouldn’t mind hearing more about Nick and Sky in the future.

ok, let me start off by saying I love Nick Ferro, just like all

ok, let me start off by saying I love Nick Ferro, just like all the other Ferro's, however, in The Wedding Contract, the female was who I was more interested in. lol. I LOVED Sky's determination, I loved her tenacity, I loved her refusal to think less of herself & what she was capable of. I was so enthralled with the back & forth games of Sky & Nick. Their hate/like/hate relationship was so sexy. I laughed through so many scenes of the story, which was awesome, not the usual HM Ward way. I absoutley loved every second of the 1st 90% of this book. The last 10% though, I was a bit frustrated with. I felt it was rushed, given another 100 pages or so, and it would have been perfect. I will say, the 1st 90% was well worth it though, and so was the last 10%, it just needed about 100 more pages of story to wrap it all up together without seeming rushed. I would still highly recommend this story because I couldn't put the book down, even when it was 2 am and my 3 year old would be waking me up bright & early at the butt crack of dawn (600am) on a Saturday morning. lol. Another great read by Ms. Ward. I kinda wish there was gonna be more Nick Ferro...

I received a copy of this book from the Author in exchange for an honest review.

So let's get to the book... Spoiler Free of course, as I don't actually include info on the story.
This book has just the right amount of sexy with some comedy added to it.  I was instantly caught up in the characters and story and read through the night just to finish it in one sitting.  There are not many books that get to me that way but this book (as with all Wards books) just hooked me.  Maybe it is just that all Ferro men scream SEX!
If I could complain about one thing, it would be that this story is a once and done.  Be careful what you wish for people, because now there is a Ferro book with no cliffhanger.  While I get frustrated with cliffhangers, I wish there were more written on these characters.  Give me more Nick and Sky.   Get this Book.. Seriously... You will not be disappointed....

Thank you H.M. Ward for the amazing opportunity of getting an ARC of one of your books.

    LOVE IT!

H.M. Ward does it again with this STANDALONE Ferro family novel!  Nicholas ‘Nick’ Ferro has to be the most infuriating and intriguing
Ferro thus far.  I must admit ALL of the Ferro’s have giving a headache and yet I keep coming back for more.  The spider-webs that
H.M. Ward weaves with the Ferro family are mysterious, intriguing, and addictive.  Very addictive. Skylar Thompson and Nick have an
undeniable chemistry, and there is an underlying level of respect that Skylar does NOT know Nick has for her and her work.  Throughout
this story of sabotage, and a series unfortunate events grows a love, attractive, and affection that has always simmered under the surface.

I instantly fell in love with Sky. H.M. Ward is great giving detail about who Sky is and what she's about. This novel had me laughing out loud, completely stressed out, happy, sad, and scared. I felt like I was living through it along side each character. Nick Ferro is, of course, a hunky man with issues and just as addictive as his fellow Ferro family. You are going to wish that this novel was not a stand alone.

A complete, stand alone novel from H.M. Ward-not a serial!

Another tale involving a Ferro, who wouldn't want that? This book is a great read starring Nick Ferro and Sky. From beginning to end, Ward has you laughing hysterically. Sky is a little hot tempered and has a whole slew of defensive words that seem to come non-stop out of her mouth, but who can blame her when she has a Sith Lord for a mother and a Ferro trying to ruin her business? Sky is a wedding photographer and was doing great until Nick moved in next door and not only revved up the competition but literally tried to put her out of business. The two get stuck sharing a room at a wedding Sky is supposed to be shooting and then finds out that Nick was hired by the father-in-law. The two battle it out for a week and anything that can go wrong does. On the flip side, there's a very sweet and innocent side to Sky that gets brought out of her character occasionally, mostly in windows of weakness around Nick. And underneath that thick skin and quirky remarks, Nick has a tender side too...he is a Ferro after all.

I would definitely recommend this book to anyone with a sense of humor, It will have you laughing from the first page to the last and simply smiling with the joy of being a Ferroholic-speaking of which, if you aren't one already, you will be by the end of this book!

I read an advance copy of the novel so that I can provide an honest review. There are not going to be spoilers in my review, just my impression of the story.

This novel strays from HM Ward's usual format in that it is a standalone novel with a complete story. While that works for getting closure at the end, it doesn't lend for significant details or character development.

Like Damaged this story primarily took place outside of the Ferro-sphere and we only interact with Nick. I think that is okay but part of the fun with all of HM Ward's books is the interplay of all the characters, especially when you know their individual back-stories.

Nick Ferro is cut from the Ferro cloth but definitely has a distinctive personality that sets him apart from his relatives. For me, that was interesting but not as fun.

Overall I found the story was a good quick read despite being somewhat rushed and underdeveloped. I hope we get to see Nick and Sky in other series so that we can learn more about them and see how their story develops from here.

I received the extraordinary, phenomenally, awesome, captivating, humorous, romantic Advanced Reader's Copy of The Wedding Contract by H.M. Ward. I started reading The Wedding Contract and found myself laughing one moment, crying the next, going awww!!!, wow, hot, hot, hot, then crying and laughing again and then oh no, what, hot, emotionally charged storyline that I could not stop reading until I finished it. I absolutely, positively, without a doubt, loved The Wedding Contract - another wonderfully written, hot and sexy Ferro, story by H.M. Ward. I enjoyed reading the forward by Holly’s husband.
Skylar is struggling to keep her photography business succeeding while Nick Ferro is getting more and more clients. When Skylar leaves town to photograph her friend’s wedding, Sophia, she comes out of the shower in her motel room and finds Nick Ferro. She grabs the shower curtain and wraps it around her. When both Nick and Skylar talk to Sophia and the groom’s to be father, they find that inadvertently they both will have to work together as the wedding photographers. I found myself laughing when Skylar's mom notices the shower curtain attire,“What on earth are you wearing? Really, Skylar, I brought you up better than this!”
Read the wonderfully, well written love story full of romance and humor with engaging characters The Wedding Contract by H.M. Ward.

I love all the Ferro books and H M Ward has taken it to a whole new level with Nick and Skye's story. She has an amazing way of having you laugh out loud in one scene only to hold your breath in the next scene. The emotions her books elicit are unsurpassed in this genre of story telling. Read "The a Wedding Contract" and you will be hooked on the Ferro men forever!
