Overview

Reserved to the point of being aloof, Lord Westerfield never attended balls or even considered taking a wife… until he met Miss Kitty Stanley and his orderly world turned on end. Determined to have the beautiful and animated sister of his friend from the gambling hall, but doubting his ability to effectively court her, Westerfield strikes a bargain with her brother for her hand.

When the gentlemen present Kitty with the deal, she is furious with them both for neglecting to consult her, but her brother insists he will withdraw his support if she does not comply. Angry, she acts out at a ball, causing a scandal that mushrooms further when Lord Westerfield drags her unchaperoned to his home for a firm spanking.

Upon baring her for chastisement, Westerfield is swept away by desire, and before he can stop himself he has taken her innocence and completed the ruin of her reputation. He offers to release her from the betrothal contract, but her brother insists instead on a hasty marriage. As they attempt to recover from the scandal that becomes known as “the Westerfield Affair,” their marriage is clouded by his shame and her insecurities. Will they be trapped forever in a loveless marriage, or will they have the courage to move past their rough beginning to kindle the passion they both crave?

Publisher’s Note: The Westerfield Affair is an erotic romance novel that includes both consensual and non-consensual spankings, anal play, graphic sexual scenes, and more. If such material offends you, please don’t buy this book.

    more from this reviewer

When I started reading at the age of 12, I fell in love with Bar

When I started reading at the age of 12, I fell in love with Barbara Cartland novels. Her stories enchanted millions of readers with her unequalled tales of pure romance, dashing heroes, beautiful heroines, and of course, her trademark happy endings. No wonder she wrote over 700 books….
What does this information have to do with this review you ask….. Well when I finished The Westerfield Affair by Renee Rose, I felt like I had just read another Barbara Cartland Classic with a naughty twist. This story was full on misunderstanding and insecurities on both our hero, Lord Harry Westerfield and Miss Kitty Stanley. I couldn’t help fall in love with these two wonderfully written characters.
And the naughty scenes? I’m sure they would have made Dame Barbara Cartland blush, they were hot. They flowed ever so easily with the story line, which is something that I noticed in spanking novels doesn’t always happen.
The Westerfield Affair was a short book, only about 100 pages on my Nook, but I never felt rushed or cheated out of a rich, well-crafted story.
I would highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a well written historical romance with dash of erotic spankings

Let me start by saying Renee Rose is one of my favorite authors, I read EVERYTHING she writes and holy heck is this book fantastic!! This is such a heartwarming romance between Lord Westerfield and Kitty, it was a joy to read. Kitty is so much fun, quirky and impulsive, she makes me smile. Harry is more serious and I really liked his character, he shows vulnerability and dominance in a wonderful way. There is some great chemistry between the two of them, it jumps off the page at you, and it makes you keep turning the pages to see what is going to happen next. I enjoy a good Regency romance and this one has it all, detailed plot, characters with some depth, love, romance, conflict, spanking, and sex. So much good stuff that I read it in one sitting!! Well done!! I received this book from Stormy Night Publications as an Advanced Reader Copy.

    I wish I'd known...

Only a hundred and four pages. The story is interesting, but rushed. I wish I could see the number of pages before paying so much for so little.

Arrangements and Scandal. -- Kitty causes quite the scandal and it seems that everything gets so out of control.  Harvey and Kitty need to learn to communicate and be honest with each other so they have chance to turn it all around.

Wow, what a great book! I read it in one day and I honestly can’t wait for Renee Rose to write another spanking regency novel. The Westerfield Affair was well written, sexy, and tugged at my heart strings again and again. I loved the heroine, Kitty. She was a lively character and knew just how to deal with a man so reserved as Lord Westerfield. They were a perfect match, despite being complete opposites in every sense of the word, and even though he went about securing her as his wife all wrong, causing her to be angry with him for quite some time. They spend some time struggling to understand one another, and Kitty earns herself plenty of spankings at Lord Westerfield's hands, but he administers them lovingly. The Westerfield Affair by Renee Rose was a wonderful spanking regency novel with great characters, plenty of conflict, and steamy sex scenes that had me turning the pages.
