Blankley paints the picture of a Europe in which radical Islam is triumphant--a threat that is not only very real, but that would be more threatening to the United States than a Europe under Nazi domination. But there is hope--and a strategy--for Western survival; and Blankley illustrates what must happen to save the West.

    everyone should read this

I started reading this book and could not put it down. I know from my extensive travels worldwide and my own reading of the Qur'an, that every word of this book is true. It should be mandatory reading for everyone that cares about their country or Western culture.

With the following unnerving words Tony Blankley, the editorial page editor of the Washington Times and popular radio and television pundit, sends shock waves through the listener: ¿The day is upon us when the West will have to decide which it values more: granting rights and tolerance to those who wish to destroy us or the survival of Western civilization.¿ In order to corroborate his statement Blankley first examines modern Islam with special attention to the way it has changed in the recent past as it now allows individual jihads or holy wars to take place, initiated by men such as Osama Bin Laden. This is a far cry from the original five pillars of the Islam faith. Further, the author posits that a man like Bin Laden has the same situations that Hitler used to advantage ¿ unsettled people who do not like to be overshadowed by an other power and youth who are impatient with their parents¿ acceptance of the older ways. Blankley can back up his information with statistics from surveys in which Muslims were forthright about their willingness to participate in terrorist attacks. The internet is their gathering place, disseminating information to Muslims throughout the world. Asking why our government ignores the lessons of World War II, Blankley suggests fighting the Islam militants, securing our borders, and using ethnic profiling. Voice performer and producer Mark Warner narrates this frightening scenario somberly and seriously, which is as it should be read. Whether you agree or disagree with Blankley¿s concerns, ¿The West¿s Last Chance,¿ is informative and meat for consideration. - Gail Cooke

    A great page-turner

Thoughtful and provoking, Blankley presents a no-holds barred prospect of threats imposed upon civilization as we know it by the Islamic threat. The book is compelling, and moves well from chapter to chapter.

    Eye Opening

I greatly enjoyed reading this book, and found Mr Blankely to appropriately clarify the major issue facing the West today. Blankley goes on to mention the major demographic, economic, and political issues, that everyone understands, but has been scared to come out and say until this point. While Blankley's assumptions and statements may seem harsh at times, it places an emphasis on his very thesis, that we are in a serious state of war and some actions must be taken, even though some people might be hurt or offended. Although Blankley offers some suggestions on how to better the current situation, I fear that the real change in Islam must come from within at this point, as there is a thinning line between extremist and mainstream Islam and the fight against them only exacerbates the issue. Regardless, Mr. Blankely touches on a highly relevant subject that, one way or another, will play itself out over the next half century.
