From the author of SARA'S GAME, a former Kindle Daily Deal and #2 Amazon best seller comes a brand new, action-packed suspense thriller.

Some families have deeper secrets than others.

Private investigator Mary Walker has less than forty-eight hours to save her brother-in-law, a former Marine Corps sniper involved in an underground, deadly game of killers hunting killers. A game controlled by a rich, powerful family. A game with a secretive history dating back to the Civil War. Ten million dollars to the victor; death to the losers. With time running out, Mary must find a way to keep Randall alive, or help him win, while chasing down leads and uncovering lies that connect to the unlikeliest of places...the White House.

    Hikari

So I felt like writing a bio no one will read. Don't judge.
Name: Hikari, in case you couldn't figure that out.
Gender: Guess.
Age: Fourteen. ...Not that I can't tear your heart out and stuff it down your throat or something.
Appearance: Tall and kinda lanky. I have long blond (I don't know why either) hair somewhere between straight and wavy, with bangs that fall into my blue-gray-green-yellow eyes. I'm still trying to become anemic. I usually wear men's jeans, a black shirt, and a black jacket of some type with a hood. I'm either barefoot or wearing black combat boots with 6-inch knives strapped to the sides. Sometimes I even wear gloves with the fingers cut off.
Personality: I'm not emo, but I like acting emo so I can tell people I'm not emo. ...Don't ask. Anyway, I usually feel no attachment or closeness to people and really have no qualms about choking someone with their small intestine or something like that. I really don't have any particular skills at all, though. I'm just bad at everything except killing people, but really, who IS bad at killing people? Sooo...
Personal stuff: I'm a half-blood, but not a demigod, since Erebus isn't actually a god. Erebus is described as the personification of darkness, meaning I have the awesome skill of becoming shadow and melting into other shadows and stuff. It really helps when someone's, say, trying to kill me. I have a horse named Arion, who happens to be the result of Poseidon and Demeter getting together in horse form. ...Yes, he's a horse-god-thing. But he's cool.
Other personal stuff: Hidden under my clothes is a chain scythe, two ninja swords, a few knives and shuriken (by a few I mean two dozen of each), and a whistle to call Arion if I'm in trouble or just bored. ...I blow it relatively often.
Relationships: I have a few friends, I guess, no boyfriend because I have better things to do than waste time being in love, and a bunch of cats. I love cats. They're so soft and warm and fluffyandadorableand theyalwayslooksocute—! *ahem* Anyway...
Crush: Crushes are a waste of my valuable time. None.
Likes: CATS!! Er...and Japanese things, fighting, the taste of blood–just because I like the taste of blood doesn't mean I'm a vampire, people–and wolves, people I consider friends, anime, drawing, reading, bands like Nightwish and Evanescence and Skillet, video games like Fire Emblem: Awakening and Monster Hunter Ultimate 3, aaand...uh....
Dislikes: Pretty much everyone, swearing, myself, Justin Bieber, 1D, Twilight, homosexuality/bisexuality (oh wait, I just mentioned three examples of that), character limitations on this Nook, aaand...a whole bunch of other things.
Other: I absolutely hate pie and physical contact, so much so that they do not deserve to be in the Dislikes category.
You don't need to know anything else about me. You know too much already. ...Go stalk someone else.
