Overview

Alisanos, the deepwood, is more than just a forest...

...it is sentient, and predatory. Home to demons and worse, its mercurial boundaries can suddenly shift miles in any direction to encompass previously safe human lands - and those taken by the deepwood are forever changed.

Audrun, a human woman trapped within the forest, is reunited with her four children, only to learn that each has been marked by the deepwood’s wild magic. And her newly born fifth child, captured by a winged demon, is still missing.  Audrun has sworn to find the infant, but can a mere human possibly hope to outwit the monstrous inhabitants of Alisanos...and the nightmarish deepwood itself?

These books consumed my thoughts and still do! Cannot wait to read more...hello?! It has been a few years... I will still devour the next book or books as soon as I can get them! An absolute incredible series.

I started th I stated this "series" a few days ago and virtually have been non stop reading since!! The world she conjures is extremely vivid and you are taken to this land in your mind whenever the author is referring to Alisanos and its denizens....I literally could not put this series down. I had bought book 3 at a Barnes and Noble store then started reading the first of these books and literally had to go buy the second book (and read it on my nook) then read book three as a paperback. I cannot wait for htis author to come out with another installment of this series (as she says it's not a "trilogy!"), I will faithfully and quickly buy the next books written! Awesome. awesome, awesome series!!!

Very disappointed. The first two books were great. This one wasted too many pages with excerpts from the other books. That's what a prologue is for. I won't buy another of this saga until I'm sure it is the last one.
