    A Moving Saga

I did not know what to expect but was moved by this somewhat moody saga. This story of a Southern family with its' unforgettable members: Uncle Leon, Granny, Aunt Shirley, Pa Daddy. The family secrets are definitely Southern style; they haunt the family for generations. The book is well written. I want to read more by this author. Jo D Wright, In the Company of my Sistahs BRC.

    From another author!

This book merits reading. From the start to the finish it is everything you expect it to be and more! This author recomends it strongly. Also, as an author, Willie and I have shared the spot light at book signings and even on Television and Willie shines like the morning star.

A gripping and suspenseful nonfiction novel.

This book is beautifully written and documents the true story of a black family's triumphs and sorrows on their farm in rural North Carolina. The book's plot is thicken by the mysticism of witchcraft or voodoo, but blacks in the south refer to it as 'Roots'. Particularly interesting was the terrible tragedy that occurred on the farm and the effect that it had on the author's family and himself. The book pays a special tribute to the author's youngest uncle who was killed in a trucking accident. This book is destined to become a classic.

    A Real Page Turner!

This novel is a real page turner. Suspenseful. Keeps the reader's imagination whirling. Everyone can relate to long kept family secrets, that if revealed could bring done the strongest of families. Can't wait for the sequel.
