Meet the Author

My first book, My Familiar Stranger, was nominated for Best Paranormal Romance of by both Reviewers’ Choice and Readers’ Choice Awards. All of my books have opened on the Amazon Best Sellers list and earned Night Owl Reviews TOP PICK awards. For 2013 I won REVIEWERS' CHOICE awards for Best Paranormal Romance Series, Best Paranormal Romance Novel (General) - A Summoner's Tale, and Best Paranormal Romance Novel (Vampires & Shifters) - Moonlight.

I write cross-genre with uniquely fresh perspectives on paranormal creatures, characters, and themes. Add a dash of scifi and a flourish of fantasy to enough humor to make you laugh out loud and enough steam to make you squirm in your chair. My heroines are independent femmes with flaws and minds of their own whether they are aliens, witches, demonologists, psychics, or past life therapists. My heroes are hot and hunky, but they also have brains, character, and good manners – usually – whether they be elves, demons, berserkers, werewolves, or vampires.

In 2015 I will be venturing into other romance subgenres. Subscribe to my mail list, which you will find on my website, www.victoriadanann.com, for news and updates on upcoming titles.

I live in The Woodlands, Texas which is why I sometimes joke about being the witch in the woods. Married. Four children. One very smart, mostly black German Shepherd dog.

In the second book of the Order of the Swan series, the author has done what many try to do, and most fail to achieve; write a second
book as good as the first. The Witch's Dream was a delightful continuation of My Familiar Stranger, with appearances by most of the
beloved characters I grew to love in the first. I'm particularly intrigued by the number of venues the author has introduced as a possible
continuation of the series. There is absolutely no telling where the story will go next. The characters are fantastic. The dialog is
entertaining - laugh out loud funny at times. The story is imaginative and intriguing. I love a book to "take me away", and this one
absolutely delivers!  I highly recommend reading the series in order. The background information established in the first book absolutely
enriches the reading experience of the second.

A Witches Dream is Fantastic! I love how the book starts off as if you never finished the first one, My Familiar Stranger :) Its nice to see more about the characters besides just being part of the B-Team.
I gotta say I was a little disappointed with how Storm treated Lilith in the begining. I wanted to knock some sense into him before he ruined his chance of finally being happy. Glad he decided to get his act together. There were other points in the book that I loved, as well, but I'd be spoiling WAY too.much! Lol

*If you have not read Book One this may contain spoilers*

Elora's happily ever after continues in Book Two as she prepares for a royal wedding to Ram.  All of B Team is invited and Storm is doing his best to be a man about not winning the girl.  After they wedding they head to Edinburgh for a few assignments.  This is when the story really takes off.  When a person very important to B Team is kidnapped Storm is sent on the road with Litha, a very powerful witch and tracker, to hunt them down.  Elora and Ram are sent in another direction to find out why there is a werewolf in London (it made me giggle, too).

It may seem like there is a lot going on, but Victoria Danann does a fantastic job of keeping the story flowing and together even when the characters are apart.  I think Litha is going to turn into my new favorite.  She's fun, powerful, not the type to take crap from anyone, and has a bit of a hereditary card up her sleeve.  She knows right away that Storm is her man - now she just need to make sure he realizes it too.  Storm is not quite over Elora and definitely isn't look for love at the moment so Litha has her work cut out for her.

There is a lot of excitement in this one and I love that Danann kept all the characters from book one around playing important roles.  It makes it so easy to fall into her world the second you pick up the book.  I'm not quite sure who we will be watching fall in love in book three...she's left a few options out there to explore.  I can't wait to get started.

This second book finds us at a Beautiful Irish Castle for Elora

This second book finds us at a Beautiful Irish Castle for Elora & Rams wedding. Storm is still hurt over Eloras choice but he is wishing them both the best.
Little does Storm know that a Witch has set her sights on him as a mate and little does she know that he is done with the whole love thing. This all by itself
could have been a book, but  our talented author takes us in many directions including a kidnapping by a demon. I know people often say "it is a must read"
But I'm going tell you..."it's a must experience" I would also recommend you read the first book, "My Familiar Stranger" just so you don't miss out on the full ride!

I was really looking forward to this one because I felt so bad for Storm in the first one, it was so good to see him move on and find someone new. This is a great addition to series. I also love how the stories continue for the rest of the crew as well. Victoria is a wonderful storyteller and I will continue reading to the end. Thanks so much for a wonderful read.

This book was a riveting seqeal. You must read A Familar Stanger

This book was a riveting seqeal. You must read A Familar Stanger 1st. Following Ram & Elora this book followed Litha into even more dimensions.
"I don't think you believed me when I said I could be entertaining. I'm going to prove it." It had been a long time since a woman had tried to tell Storm what to do. Undoubtedly this was the first time he had ever been both pleased and amused to obey. After a minute passed he smiled and reached for her. "Well, it's not that looking at you without clothes on isn't entertaining. Because certainly it is, but, strictly speaking, I meant something more along the lines of..." She put her fingers to his lips to shush him and smiled. "Okay. Turn around now." He turned his head and his mouth dropped open of its own accord. Thousands upon thousands of fireflies hovered over the river and danced in the trees on the other side. They swooped, darted, and flitted. It was a spectacle that was magical beyond imagination. Storm laughed out loud, a sound so joyful and so rare it startled him, almost making him jump like a puppy with a grown dog's bark. In that moment, he realized he'd never felt that before - that special happiness that transcends life on earth taking you to a place in spirit called rapture. When he turned to look at Litha, there were fireflies encircling her, lighting her face. So that's what love looks like. When he thought about the fact that he might have missed this, might have missed out on loving Litha... Just a small excerpt from the book. Loved this book!!!!

This is the second book of the Order of the Swan

Continues where My Familiar Stranger left off.
And how Ram and Elora's relationship has progressed, and there is no doubt these two are made for each other. It start with Ram and Elora's wedding preparation and Storm is the best man.

And in this book we get introduced to a new character Litha, she is a witch, she was hired by the Black Swan, for her tracking skills and she fall in love at first sight to Storm.

And when Katrina is kidnapped, Litha is in charge to track her and Storm is assigned to guard her on her mission. He don't want to fall for Litha.

The Witch's Dream is yet another fantastic adventure and I highly recommend this series and eagerly await the next installment.
    Must Read :)

The Witch's Dream is the second book in Victoria Danann's Black

The Witch's Dream is the second book in Victoria Danann's Black Swan Series, this is a great book to read so if you have not yet read "My Familiar Stranger" you should start there! My Familiar Stranger caught my attention a while back and needless to say I've been hooked on these books ever since.

The Witch's Dream continues with the Story of Storm and Litha, and I can't tell you anything else because I'll get excited and give away the book!

I like Victoria's writing it is not a cookie cutter of other supernatural series I've read it is very original and it combines the best group of people that I may normally see not working together, yet it works for her!

The Witch's Dream was fantastic! A terrific follow-up to My Familiar Stranger!!! It took the "B" Team further on and added to the interactions they have by adding in a witch, incubus, and the team members families. It was a terrific read and only has me wanting to know when I can get book #3!!! I can't wait to see what happens next!!!

I love the way she continued the story line and got deeper into the lives of other characters. Awesome book and will definitely be looking for more on this series and other books by this author. :)
