Really good book, a great mix of mystery and supernatural. Kept me interested throughout the entire story. Just when I thought I knew who the killer was, I was proved wrong. Going to start on book two now. ~*BloodMoonBabe*~

I really enjoyed this book. There were twists and turns, some expected, some surprising. It was written in such a way that I could picture so vividly in my mind everything that was happening. It was interesting from start to finish. I think the best part to me is that it really kept to the point without straying with unnecessary events. It had humor, suspense, mystery; a really great crime novel. I'm looking forward to reading book 2!

Great series. Read them in order. Good characters and dialogue. Great mix of mystery and the supernatural. Character interaction if fun and witty. Would not read in my book club.

Definitely a mystery with paranormal background rather than paranormal story with mystery. For me this is a very good thing. Will be starting third book in series in 15 seconds. Can't be clearer. I liked it.

Dana Donovan writes with great imagination and her story keeps you turning the pages. I love to read these kinds of books and yet not many are as good as I found her, she easy to read and sometimes a little amusing. Her books are over 400 pages and through those she twists and turns you and you think you know who did it but believe me it's always a surprise.

Great book. Enjoyed it so much I purchased, and just finished the second book..."The Eye of the Witch".

I had high hopes when I first started reading this book, but that didn't last. The plot would have been interesting except for the juvenile writing and lack of character development. And what abysmal detecting! Two bumbling detectives try to solve a series of murders with techniques that are laughable. I'm usually not so negative on reviews, but I think from now on, I'll pass up the 99 cent bargain books.

Im new to the paranormal genre, & I got this and the 2nd book on a whim, really, because one was free (& Thank you author/pub for that! Great bait!). I started reading, not expecting much...however, I became swept up in the mystery and all the twists and turns that I finished 498 pages in a 24 hr period! Moving on, now, to book 2! Thanks again for the book 2 freebie & a great read!

This is not high literature, nor is it claiming to be. It is a fun mystery, with interesting, albeit dark characters.
